The World Around Me Goes On
I wrote this in 2009-2010 when i was a freshman in high school on what happened in middle school.
I'm just a girl sitting here watching
The world around me go on
But then you introduced yourself
You didn't know it then, but
You turned my life around
You brought me from my place of darkness and my place of safety
You kept me from taking my life when I didn't want to die
And I thought that no one even cared
If I lived or not
But this was the best thing anyone
Has done for me
Now because of you, I now realize what I could do with my life
Now I hope our friendship goes beyond any other
But for now I take the chance to and say "Thank You" for what you've done
