The Winds Echo Your Name
Everyone sees stormy weather and can't forget the Hail imprints that it leaves...
I stand here at the window watching the rain falling down.
Wondering why your spirit hasn't called or been around.
As the lightning crashes in the distance, I see your face.
I try to hear your voice call my name, but the thunder takes it's place.
The winds echo your name through the midnight summers sky.
I want to hold my arms out in the raging wind and ask God Why.
I play everything you said that day, over and over in my mind.
Telling me how much you loved me, but your heart changed with time.
I hear the storm getting closer, but you are all that I want and see.
My heart races as the clouds burrow down upon me.
I don't fear it's splintering rain or the flood that comes with this tearful heart.
Believing that one day, when our rain clouds leave, we can make a new start.
Within this dark storm of our minds, there is no tunnel with light.
But, who can be wrong, when we both think we are right?
We believe that each one threw that first venomed word.
All I know is the crashing thunder of your words, is all that I heard.
I can see my love, going up in the chaos of a funnel cloud.
Your words cause damage and is so very loud.
You have twisted my love all around.
Until all the debree of my heart hits the ground.
Anger of this storm will leave hail imprints upon our skin.
The next storm, we are the blame and no one is to win.
The sky will clear up soon and the night will fade into the morning.
Hopefully the next storm we feel coming, will have a better warning.
