The Water (Part 14)
Alrighty peeps, I decided to make chappies longer, so yeah enjoy and I hope my writing has improved.
The world was dark, so dark, Tukluk couldn't see anything. Every part of him hurt. He brought a bruised hand towards his head. It came bloody.
What had happened? For all he knew he had been swimming without worries in the lagoon when a pair of hands snatched him and pulled him towards the bottom of the lake. He did not have a clue how he got wherever the hell he was right now.
A blinding light filled the room he was in. He groaned loudly and looked at his surroundings. He was in a prison cell, a prison cell made of ice. Everything was white, even the iron bars, even the cells in front of him.
"I see you are awake," a feminine voice said.

"That is an awful lot of information Nadia," Xena says as she whistles.
"So we leave at sunrise in a week, am I correct"? Tutok asks as she looks at the ocean. I can tell she is fascinated at the life forms that live in the atoll, because she must have seen ice, ice her whole life since she is from Kalaallit. Nadia nods and with that everyone departs towards their homes.

The thin line that stands out between my left shoulder and snakes down my shirt looks angrier than ever. I smile, I am not ashamed of my scar, in fact I consider it to be one of the things I like about myself.
I set the mirror down and put it back among the bamboo chest that contains clothing and medical related things. I look at my mother's loom which hangs between the ceiling and the floor. I never held any interest in weaving or other womanly pastimes. Back then when Paku wasn't a hardened a****** we used to play outside the porch and sometimes even push each other into the brown lagoon waters. After Paku turned cold, Tukluk came. He taught me how to hunt, how to make weapons, and pretty much how to live. That doesn't matter now. Tukluk is who-the-hell-knows where at the moment, and from what I saw in the shield some days ago, definitely not in good shape. I sigh and walk over to my sleeping mat. I close my eyes and fall asleep.

Paku listened to the waves crash against the shore as he leaned against a palm tree. The strangers from the far off cold land spoke among themselves. The two twins fought while the "younger sister" who actually had more maturity than the other two idiots, smacked and yelled at them.
He chuckled mentally. If he hadn't followed Yuka and her little friend a month ago, he would have never known there was a beach in the island. Hell, he wouldn't have known he was currently living in an atoll. Paku felt the red-headed woman stared at him with those green colored eyes. They were too intense so he closed his own eyes instead. It's not like he had this kind of problem before. The other women in the village swooned and dreamed about marrying him. His own mother even said he would have no trouble finding a suitable wife. Pure nonsense.

"I swear if you two don't calm down, I will make you do two-hundred pushups while I put my foot on your back!"
Tutok felt a familiar headache starting to form. She did love her brothers but sometimes, they were too much to handle.
"What's his problem?" Xena said as she sharpened a spear.
Tutok saw a man leaning against a frail looking palm tree, his eyes closed. Yuka's brother was so different from her own.
"What, see something you like?" Tutok taunted.
"No, he is so gloomy all the time, plus I have someone waiting back home," Xena replied.
"Xena look what I made!" Stalwyn's voice said merrily from the hut.
"I'll be right back."
Xena stood up and assisted her younger sister. Stalwyn could be such a bubble head sometimes. Well, at least someone was cheerful. Amaroq and Zurik started to bicker again, getting to the point of throwing punches.
"Alright, give me two-hundred pushups!"

The knife buried itself into my skin while my father bled out. I wake up as the world around me shakes. Oh it's my mother.
"What is going on," I slur, my voice heavy with sleep.
"You slept for a long time," Mother replies.
"How long?"
"From sunrise to sunset."
I must have been really tired then.
"Is Paku home yet?" I ask.
Mother shakes her head.
What did I expect? It's not like he cares about me. I spend the rest of the early night eating with my mother.

So yeah! I am done! Long time, I don't work on this story and God am I sleepy! Today was not a good day so I am unwinding with this.
Bye, bye for now!
