The Vampires Pet - Chapter 2
Next chapter of the vampires pet! I tried to put a little humor into the first chapter but this chapter gets a little heavy…you have been warned (no sex though I promise :)
As the night grew cooler time seemed to crawl at an infuriatingly slow pace. I ate but I couldn’t sleep for fear. What was this ceremony thing they were speaking of? What was going to happen to me? I wished I could have someone that could come to my rescue, but no one even knew about me slaying let alone anything about this. Even if my friends called the human police, as if they stood a chance. What hope could I possibly have? None. I feel cold and empty inside. They came and got me, lead me away, but this time silence made the air I breathed thick and I don’t dare break it. Some slayer I am. I’m weak and they know it, but I can’t change that over night because the truth is I am 16, and I don’t want to die.
They lead me into a room and immediately made me sit in the middle of a large circle, drawn with chalk. The white circle was surrounded by vampires, and as my three escorts filled the last gap, I had no chance of escape, but that didn’t stop me. I run to someone and they push me back.
I wasn’t taking in details anymore, my mind was overrun by my panic. They started chanting in a language I had never heard before. I turn in a circle, looking for a gap. There was none, nothing but dark black robes, and after I spun around I forgot which ones were the three that brought me here and which were strangers.
Whatever they were doing was working because as I spin I get really dizzy, then fall to the ground on my back. My body was convulsing but my eyes were cross eyed and my mind slipped. They were still chanting in a circle around me. I was confused about what was happening. I don’t remember a lot else.

I wake on a cold, hard floor, and slowly sit up and look around. I was in a cage! I jolt in shock, the jolt caused a metallic sound and I look for the cause. There was a chain leading from the wall…to a shackle around my ankle. I gap at it in horror. Then I gulp and look around again. There wasn’t a lot to see. The three walls around me were made from stone, so was the floor. The fourth side had thick iron bars across it and a door. And then the keys were hanging on the wall opposite. I scramble to the bars and reach out, but it was no use, I immediately knew.
They were placed strategically, just out of my reach. Just close enough to tease me. I bite my trembling lip and try to look down but there was no lights and it was dark in here. The metal bars were cold against my fingers. It seemed we were in a hallway of some kind. I start staring at the keys again, willing them closer. Then the keys disappear. I blink.
There was a grinding sound as the keys twist in the lock and the door swings open. I stumble back against a wall.
Justin walked in, closing the door behind him to give us more space. The cell was small, only five metres by five metres or so. I was never good with distances.
"Let me go." My voice shook, matching with my hands.
"I don’t think so. You are bound to this place now. We even put a spell on you to make sure the spirits would keep you here." I gulp. I had no idea what that meant but it didn’t sound good. Justin’s eyes glint maliciously.
"And now you’re my pet."
"Your pet?" My voice squeaks as I cower against the wall. A small etch appears between his brows.
"Well, to share with my two brothers…but close enough." He grins and again it was an evil, scary grin. Then he strides forward and punches me. The blow knocked me to the cold floor and I felt it reverberated through my skull. I wouldn’t be surprised it he saw my head shaking with it’s power. I wanted to mumble at him to stop, I wanted to beg, but shock held my tongue for me as he grabs my neck and pushes me against the wall, my chain weighing down my left ankle.
It hurt a lot more thank it should have, probably because I was strangled…yesterday? I had lost track when I was unconscious, it was dark in here now, but I could have been in a dungeon or anything, and had no way to know whether it was day or night.
He waited, and it took me a minute to realize he was waiting for me. To speak, to beg? I don’t know but I felt that if I opened my mouth I would throw up so I kept it shut. Furious, he threw me.
But my chain didn’t even let me touch the far wall, and it stopped me with a jolt that made every one of my joints hurt so much I wondered if the wall would have hurt less. I moan, getting up onto all fours.
But he just knocked me down again by kicking me in the head. I groan again and then he was on top of me, sitting on my waist as I was lying on my back.
"Get off." I gasp between short breathes. At human pace, he slowly pulls out a match and lights it. He rips the bottom of the white shirt Bax had given me open and inch by inch, brings the flame closer to me skin.
"No. Don’t. Please, please, don’t. No!" I roar as the flame burnt away my flesh where he held it to my stomach. I moan and scream and writhe in pain and soon the match went out. He grins triumphantly as I pant.
"Are you going to be good, pet?" He asks, getting up off me. I scramble up and lean again a stone wall.
"Yes!" I pant.
"Sit." I looked at him, wondering if he was being serious or not. He smacks me over the face.
"Sit!" He yells. I sink to the floor in a kneeling position, hand on my stinging cheek.
"Good girl." He purrs at me, less than a metre away in this crowded cell. "Now beg." I glance up at him, the only thought running through my mind was ‘for what?’ He wait’s a few moments then pounces on me, hitting me three times across the cheek. When he gets up I remain down, slowly drifting into unconsciousness. I hear the scraping of metal and slowly listen to his footsteps fade away. But his eerie laugh echoes back to me, carrying his voice with it.
"Play dead."
I wake up in darkness, big surprise there. My eyes begin to adjust again. I had no idea how long I had been unconscious, or asleep or whatever. But I was stiff from sleeping on the stone floor and sore from…well, you know. Justin. I sigh and rub my forehead, leaning into a corner of the cell. The corner furthest away from the door, not that it would make any difference anyway.
I groaned and panted as I sat up. I was really thirsty, my stomach cramped with hunger. I had only had one meal since I got here, and I had no idea when that was. Two days ago? Three days ago? It could have been a week ago for all I knew. It could be months, years even before they finally kill me, for all I knew. And what would happen to me until then? I shiver, and once again wished there was at least one person in this world that had any chance of finding me here. Wherever here was.
I was filled with despair, yet again, but it wasn’t getting old and it wasn’t going away. I completely and totally refused to cry. No way. No more tears. Probably, ever. No. So I sat in my tiny cell, the shackle rubbing painfully at my ankle, and took deep breathes through my dry mouth.
I sat like this, alone in the dark, for hours and hours. There was nothing to keep myself physically occupied so I began going through things in my mind. Poems, schoolwork, song lyrics. I didn’t think of my friends or family, because that hurt. Pretty much, I thought about the useless things. Song lyrics kept me entertained for a while, though I was far too shy to sing aloud, even though there was no one around to hear me.
I couldn’t decide, if I wanted someone to come just to break the boredom and monotony or if I would rather stay like this for…god knows how long. Until I died? Anyway, the point is, someone came, and I still felt scared of them. But then had a bottle of water in their hands and I eyed it hungrily.
"Morning pet!" Justin says brightly. I was confused, it was morning? Or was it morning to him, which was evening for me? I didn’t ask.
I thought about trying to say something, maybe begging again? Though I knew it was fruitless, but it didn’t matter because my mouth was too dry to speak anyway.
"Thirsty?" I just no, he laughs maliciously, his eyes glinting again.
"So am I." I shiver involuntarily as I had a mental image of the vampire in front of me biting me, drinking me.
"What do you want Justin?" Exasperation just doesn’t come out right when you’re voice is croaky.
"You." He says simply. I wait for something but he just continues to stand there and look at me.
"You can’t have me." I tell him, trying to sound strong. I don’t think I did though because he laughs.
"Oh really? I was rather getting the other impression, you belonging to me and all."
"I don’t belong to anyone." I say forcefully.
"Well, you are in my cell." He points out. I stay silent this time.
He was suddenly sitting beside me. I hated when they did that. It was unnatural. There was no way that I would ever be able to get used to it. He just sits beside me, like we were just old buddies chatting or something. I was not sitting in a corner, he was near one, near me. My jaw clenches at his nearness.
"I am going to bite you and rape you."
My breath disappears suddenly, I don’t even think I breathed out. He sat there, giving me time. I couldn’t believe him. He was a bastard, he was cold, and yet…I guess I kind of guessed. But that didn’t change it.
"No." I breathe finally.
"Yes, but not today. I think I will give it to you slowly. I also like pain." I had barely even heard his words let alone began to process them when he was on top of me again. He bashed me, but only twice. Then he pulled out the box of matches.
"No, please no. I didn’t do anything."
"Yes, you killed my friends. Many of them." At the time I thought I had been fighting evil, ridding this world of it, helping this world. A thought struck me, what if all vampires weren’t bad? But these ones certainly were. Damn it, why was it me? I was no different from my friends, why?
He pushed the match into the flesh that showed on my chest. The flame went out quickly but the wood still burned and I still writhed in pain. He lit another, doing the same thing, on my chest again. While it was burning he slowly put a hand on my breast and rubbed it, I was in too much pain to react. When that match was dead he sat, still on top of me.
Hr lifted the bottle of water that I had forgotten he had and plays with the lid.
"It is amazing how much humans eat and drink compared to how little they can survive on." I couldn’t reply and I think he knew that because without waiting for a reply he lifted the bottle to my lips. But he only let me had three sips.
"For example, that could keep you alive for days." I felt the horrified expression cross my face but he only laughed. I didn’t even feel any different after those three sips.
"The biting thing may take a little time, not that we don’t have enough. Ha ha. But it’s a sexually arousing activity for both recipient and giver. We’ll see." He says in a mutual tone. I sit, horrified beyond words. This had never happened to me, I was a very literal person. But no words could describe this, no longer how long I write and try for.
He left soon afterwards, and I was conscious when he did, but he moved so quick one second he was there and the next he was not. They were faster, the vampire royalty, so I had to presume they were stronger too. This was not looking good. I couldn’t even try any stupid futile things like trying to run past them out the door.
I look down at the shackle on my ankle, there was no way I could remove that. There was no way I could escape this place alone, and who would rescue me? No one. I will not cry, I will not cry.
‘I am going to bite you and rape you.’
I was quite proud that I didn’t cry. My life had gone to shit, and yet I still could not picture it happening. I lie in the middle of the cell, for I don’t know, a couple of hours? Not really even thinking about anything. I felt totally parched and my stomach cramped with hunger though I forced myself to lie straight.
"Good evening." I jump into a sitting position. Derrick was at the door, unlocking it. I watch him warily, scooting to a wall again. He smiled as he entered.
"Aren’t you going to say hello?"
"Hello." My voice was small and raspy. He nods encouragingly and pulls out a cigarette and lights it. As it was dark in the cell I couldn’t really see his face, though the light on the end of the smoke provided a little light.
After looking at him for a few moments I found I couldn’t hold his gaze, though his expression was mutual. I drop my eyes to he floor.
"Let me go."
"Can’t. You’re bound to his castle now." I swallow, it took effort.
"Are you here to play?"
"Yes." He says slowly.
"You pet is currently out of order, please try again later." He laughs aloud but I didn’t like the sound. He didn’t leave.
"Yeah right. Nice try though." He pounces on me, I squeal a little. He knocks me to the ground, pinning me beneath him. His hair falls, blocking his face a little. But I could see he was grinning.
"Boo." He says, laughing a little. I stay still.
"Get off me."
"Ummm, no." I growl a little, he was still grinning. Neither of us move for quite a few moments. I was waiting for him, what was he waiting for?
Another few moments go by, then he punches me. My head was forced to smash into the floor. It hurt. A lot. More than Justin’s punches. He watches me as I slowly turn my face back to him. He legs were pinning mine down and his arms pinning my arms. He watches me carefully, still grinning like a maniac. I meet his happy eyes then look away.
"What’s wrong, honey?" He asks me, I couldn’t believe my ears.
"I don’t like this." He laughs again and I feel myself blush a little.
"I do."
"I know." He laughs again, holding onto his smoke with his teeth. Quickly, he swaps both my hands to one of his, then takes a long drag of his cigarette. Then he puts it to my stomach. I scream, long and loud. He laughs again, then takes it away. I was left panting for breathe. He grins maliciously, then replaces it on my stomach.
By the time he left I counted eleven burns on my chest and stomach, but that was in dim light. Had I missed some? I wouldn’t be surprised if there were a hundred, that pain was intense. My eyes watered, was that different form crying? I thought so. Crying was more emotional, this was pain. And it stopped as the pain slowly eased. I also had a blood nose, from where he hit me, and that spilled onto my shirt for a long while. I tried to stop it to no avail but it eventually ran out.
I sit for a longer period yet, though I can’t even begin to estimate how long, it was the longest wait I had had in this cell. I sleep, and wake to the sound of the cage door opening. Dread consumes me but I sit up. This time it was Bax, I had to admit I was surprised. But as I sat up I realised something. My head spun and I swayed dangerously. I was desperately thirsty.
"My brothers have informed me that I must come and enjoy this fantastic experience." He says in a dry voice, closing the door behind him. He didn’t sound like he was going to enjoy it. The floor felt especially cold beneath me, I wondered if it was night.
"Oh, feel free." I say sarcastically, but my voice was terribly raspy. It hurt to speak. He just looks at me. I hated when they did that, I hastily look away. I was sitting in the middle of the small cell, feeling small, weak and very vulnerable. He pounces on me, but he didn’t really seem to be in it. He knocked me back, but it wasn’t hard this time, almost like a friendly fight.
"Am I doing it right?" He asks, I resist the urge to laugh hysterically and nod. He eyes linger on my neck for several long, nervous moments. Quickly scan the rest of me and then back to my face. Trapping both my hands in one of his, just like Derrick, he produces a bottle of water that I hadn’t seen him bring in.
"I have been instructed to give you only a bare minimum, a sip or two." I look at him, hurt. Then look at the water. He unscrews the lid with his mouth and I lift my lips to meet it. After about six sips he pulls it away, expressionless. I drop my head back to the floor and look at him, this time I hold his faze and he hastily was the one who hastily looks away, still trapping me. His wavy black hair was longer than Derricks and it too hung low. At human pace he lifts himself off of me and I sit up slowly.
"You smell good." He mentions casually, screwing the lid of the water back on.
"Please, let me drink more." I say in a small voice. He looks at me, his hand on the lid slowing, then pausing.
"I’m not meant to." I stand no longer feeling stiff or bending over from hunger cramps. I walk to him and kiss him lightly on the lips.
‘Dehydration makes you do crazy things.’
Or so I told myself because I would never kiss a vampires. Eew. Fangs!
"Please?" I breathe. I tug on the water bottle in his right hand, but he doesn’t let go. So instead I wrap my hands around his neck and kiss furiously. After a hesitant moment his mouth opens to mine and our tongues dance. Another moment later I hear the water bottle drop and he pushes me against the cell wall, hands circling my head and holding it in place.
His hand massages my breast and I fight the urge to flinch away. Then he trails kisses down my neck and bites me. This wasn’t a love bite, this was a skin breaking, teeth imprint, fangs digging, blood sucking bite. It didn’t leave two small fang wounds, it left a messy mouth imprint gaping in my neck.
Then I do gasp and flinch away, but only for a moment. A wonderful feeling spread over me. I push his face harder into my neck and he drinks. Justin was right, it was like a drug. Sexual urges overwhelm me. Stupid fucking hormones. He grabs a breast, squeezing it lightly, and I tentatively massage the bulge in his pants. This was not at all me.
Seriously, I couldn’t stop.
This wasn’t me. A minute later it was over, and when it was I was glad. Because if he had taken any more blood I would have passed out.
As it was I sunk to the floor where he left me and I see him stroll to the door, and bend to pick up the water on his way out.
"Son of a bitch. You’re just like them." I mumble. I close my eyes briefly and found it hard to open them again. When I did Bax was gone, the key was on it’s hook and the bottle of water was sitting neatly next to the door.
Maybe he wasn’t like them.
Feeling the blood running down my neck, I immediately disagree.
I drink all of the bottle, before thinking that maybe I should have saved some, then go to sleep. I felt terrible, drained. Ha-ha. But seriously, I was low on energy. I wake up, having no idea what time it was or how long I had been asleep. I had another long wait, before Justin came in. He took one look at me through the metal bars and sighed.
"So he did bite you. Damn it, I knew it!" He unlocks the door and steps in. He turns to me, angry.
"Damn you!" I says, I look at him. Too tired to be scared. He comes to me, hauls me up by the arm, and hugs me to him.
"Tomorrow night, you’ll be mine. Derrick and Bax are on the mission then, so it’s just at home, pet." He squeezed me butt.
"Let go of me!"
"Sit, pet." He says, letting go of me. I look at him angrily. His eyes flash and I immediately kneel, scared once again. He strolls around me in circles.
"I am getting tired of you, pet." I kneel with my head down, breathing hard.
"I will have you tomorrow night. Beg."
"Please." I whisper, not knowing how else to beg.
"Please what?" He barks.
"I don’t know. What do you want me to beg for?" My voice was tired, exasperated. He hits me once and I get flown to the floor.
"Sit." He commands, as if talking to a dog. I slowly kneel again, hands in lap, lips tight.
"Roll over." I didn’t want to get hit, it hurt too much. I begin to lie down and he jumps on top of my back, lying across me.
"I’m looking forward tomorrow, pet." His hand snakes into my shorts, I gasp involuntarily. I was wearing a black g-string under the black shorts Bax had given me. It was a joke, between me and my friends. A dare. I would never wear this. I remember the red leather bar that was half visible under the white shirt. I can’t imagine I had made too good an impression. The white shirt had blood on it too, not too clean any more.
Justin rubs it, then flips me over. I totally panic. ‘I’m sixteen, leave me alone!’ I wanted to scream. I stayed silent and he raises a finger.
I scream.
PET
Those were the letters he carved onto my chest, with his finger nail, deep cuts. Small cigar burns surrounded the cuts. They would heal, maybe they wouldn’t scar. He laughs mercilessly and while I was sobbing he bites my neck.
I wake up, unsure if I had passed out or simply fell asleep. I felt terrible. Would the hell ever end?
I wanted to say I hoped so, but couldn’t lie to myself.
A couple of ours past, I could no longer focus on the lyrics to songs, my mind was too awake with panic, though not very alert. I felt dopey and slow and weak. I couldn’t bring myself to sit up. Everything hurt. Then I remembered Justin was coming back tonight and almost retched. It was eerily silent and dark, though I was getting used to that.
Still, I almost missed the man that walked past. But I saw him. He was blonde, I think, and wearing all black.
"Help me." I croak. The figure, which I could barely see for he had passed in front of my cell so quickly and silently, slowly retraced his steps backwards. I couldn’t see his face, or hear what he was muttering, but I could have guessed. Horror. Oh my god. What the hell? Should I…? I had no idea who this vampire was, but maybe he would help.
"Please." I whimper, forcing myself to sit up. He stutters.
"I-I don’t have a key." He was just standing there, stunned. I force myself to stand, though I stumbled. I walk to the bars, and point to the key teasingly hanging on the other side of the wall from me. He looks at it, then looks at me. Then looks over me. My shirt was half open, revealing burns and the word PET on my chest. I hastily wrap it around me to cover them.
"Please." I whisper. Shaking his head as if to clear it the vampire grabs the key and unlocks the door. I take a step towards it and there was a clanking sound. His eyes follow the chain to the wall and he heaves a near silent sigh. He rushes over, and they key fit the hole.
I couldn’t believe it fit. He takes it off, revealing a swollen, bruised and blood ankle which he immediately flinches away from. I hadn’t realised I had pulled against the shackle so hard. Pulling me into the corridor and along it the way no one ever came form I could see the strange vampires become frustrated. I could barely walk.
"I don’t really have time to heal you right now." He says, sounding apologetic. I had no idea what he meant.
"Slow down, I can barely walk." He slows, still holding onto my wrist. I was gasping for breath and struggling to keep my eyes open. Not that I could see much in the dark anyway.
"Damn it!" He curses suddenly, pushing me against the wall. I open my eyes wide in horror.
"I don’t have time to heal you now, but I can give you energy. You will still feel bad, but you will be able to keep up!" He lays a hand on my cheek. And takes it away a moment later, pulling me along behind him.
And suddenly, I did have energy, and I could sprint with him. Out into the night. Huh, it was night. What do ya know? I looked at the sky, happy I could see it again. We keep sprinting, into a forest. Wait. Why were we going into a forest? But the strange vampires leading me seemed to know where he was going, tugging me along almost thoughtlessly. I note the pine tree’s, birds nest and owls soaring above with great interest and heightened senses.
Than SMACK! I look up, from the ground where I had so suddenly fallen on, in fear. Expecting to see another vampire standing over me, blocking my escape. But instead I saw nothing but the blonde man who was already metres in front. My hand had been wrenched from his, and he turns around, eyes as wide as dishes. His eyes dart around frantically, scanning.
As he scans I sit up and reach my hands forward. They are stopped, but some invisible barrier. My lip wobbles and I sigh a little, the man approaches me.
"They have bound you here. Someone doesn’t want you to leave." His tone and face were carefully expressionless. I look up at him, still on the ground, hands having fallen into my lap.
"Can you help me?"
"Close your eyes." I do so, and then while they were closed wonder why I was trusting a vampire so much. Maybe he would take me somewhere worse than where he was taking me from. But as I could think of no worse place, I kept my eyes closed until his hand was tugging at mine again and I could run forward. Somewhere during this minute my energy had faded, almost as quickly as it had appeared. I lagged quickly and he noticed. He glances behind us.
"We are far enough away." Then he swoops me into his arms and lifts me into the air. I fell asleep in the strangers arms, as he flew me away from my prison.
