The Vampire Kidnapper's Love 2

Ruby meets a strange person in the woods.
RUBY
She saw nothing but the circle of trees and some distant branches through the breaks. She shook her head, sure that she was just being paranoid. Then, she turned around and saw some idiot riding his bike through the trees. This time, she shook her head in pity and disgust. It was remarkably easy to get injured in the dark.

Then, Ruby watched horrified as the cyclist rose up on his rear wheel. . . . and promptly crashed into a tree. Ruby ran to him, afraid that he was hurt. When she got to him, he was groaning and his arm stuck out at an impossible angle. She gently turned him over. Almost immediately she could spot the blood gushing from a cut on his forehead. It seemed to be black in the moonlight. She watched as the teen—he looked to be 18 or 19—fluttered his eyelids and slowly opened his eyes.

"Are you okay?" Ruby asked, looking into his golden brown eyes.

"Hurts," the boy whispered in a voice slightly deep and full of pain.

"Okay," Ruby said, just before a sense of lethargy came over her, and she ffell into a deep sleep.
