The Unexplainable Case 2 (12)

The great escape!!
Phil groaned in the torture chamber. "Phil." Phil turned to look at Mary and the General. "Yes?" "Shh not so loud." Mary whispered "I have a pocket knife in my right pocket. But I can’t reach it. I’ll need you to wake up the general okay?" Phil nodded "Psst General." Phil whispered the general woke up and shook his head. "Hmm what?" "Can you reach Mary’s right pocket?" "That depends what’s the reward?" "Freedom." "Agreed." The general maneuvered towards Mary in his chair and found the pocket knife. He slowly started cutting his ropes. The ropes slid off instantly. "Yes." The general whispered. Now with free hands he started cutting the ropes on his feet.

He kicked off the last of the ropes off his body and got off the chair. He started cutting off Mary’s ropes and before long Mary’s ropes were off her body as well. "Hang on Phil." Mary whispered." She started cutting Phil’s ropes. The general went to the heavy metal to watch. "Hurry up and get ready there’s a guard heading this way." Mary cut off the last of Phil’s ropes and let Phil lean on her. The general ran to the centre of the torture room and grabbed a chair. The metal door started to unlock. The general ran to the side of the door.

The door opened and the general smashed the chair over a guard’s head. The guard slumped to the ground unconscious. The general beckoned to Mary and Phil. The general grabbed the gun from the guard. He slowly walked down the corridor of this old warehouse. Another guard walked down the corridor. The general aimed the pistol. The guard stopped and slowly backed off. Mary and Phil continued walking down the corridor. The general backed the guard to a corner and knocked the guard out with the back of the pistol.

The general led Mary and Phil to a door. The general pulled it open to see himself staring at four guards. The guards didn’t waste a second. They quickly upholstered their pistols. "STOP RIGHT THERE!" The guards yelled but the general quickly slammed the door shut "RUN!" He yelled at Mary and Phil. Phil limped slowly away with Mary. The general ran in towards Mary and heard the door open behind him. He turned behind to see four guards. They all fired. The general was shot. The general groaned and fell to the ground. He felt pain consume him then he blacked out. His last thoughts were "Pain was good for knowing you’re alive but now pain is bad to know since you’re about to die." Phil and Mary jogged through the dark corridors. Mary found another door and opened it.

They went inside and closed the door. Mary looked around and saw a window. Mary turned around to look at the door. She found a lock and locked the door. She turned back to the window. She took a chair in the room and stood on it. She glanced out the window and saw they weren’t far from ground. "PHIL COME OVER HERE!" She yelled. Phil looked at Mary and limped towards her. Mary frantically looked around for something to break the window with. She saw a crowbar and grabbed it. She climbed onto the chair and smashed the window.

She used the bar and knocked away the last of the glass off the window ledge. "Phil get on top of the chair and climb out the window." "Mary I don’t think I can do this my legs they’re…" "Shut your mouth I’ll help you when we get out okay?" Phil nodded and climbed on top of the chair. He grabbed the window ledge and pulled himself up. He looked at the ground and jumped. He landed on soft grass but pain ran through him like electricity. He saw Mary jump out of the ledge and landing beside him. She grabbed his hand "Let’s go." She whispered and grabbing Phil’s hand and jogged.
