The Traitor- Chapter 2
John and Ashley
"Where going to see Victoria," Ashley said as she walked up the stairs leading from the basement door.
"Why? I thought we were going to see Derek," John said.
"If we find Vicky, we find Derek. Gosh you’re smart," Ashley said annoyed. John always like this when plans change. He says he gets confused. "Sorry I took so long, she was a struggler, but she’s dead now."
"Well lets get a move on, where are we headed?" He said curiously.
"Longshire, Vicky's mom lives there," Ashley said as she grabbed a blue backpack and put a gun in it with ammunition. She walked in to the kitchen and you could hear cabinets opening and closing.
"How do you know Vickys there?" John said as he put rope and animal crackers in his green backpack.
"I don’t, but as I just said, Vicky's mom is. I thought we can get a little more cash of this thing, you know, hold her for ransom and we'll still get Vicky," Ashley said coming out of the kitchen with cans of Coke in her hands.
"Can we not hurt Mrs. Allison because she gave me Christmas cookies at the party she had thrown last year and she said she had made them with love," John said sounding dumber than ever.
"Oh shut up you baby. Remember what she had done to Alyssa?" Ashley said now putting a swith blade in her pocket and a cased dagger, her prize possession. It has her initials in graved on the gold handle and stain proof steel to stop for blood getting it messed up.
"Don't talk about her, I kind of miss her. I didn't know people could bend like that," John shook a little and put a bottle of chloroform in his back pack, "but she’s in Japan now. Good for that, she would have got another arm ripped from her body if she would of stayed in London."
"True that," Ashley said with a frown, "Oh well, at least we can get her to tell us how she got her when she was locked in that institution."
"I remember, St. Marly's. The one mom was at, Alyssa did some hard time there. By the way, who's getting Susie's body out of the basement?" John thought out loud.
"Not it!" Ashley said laughing. Its the first time she’s laughed in months, yes, she’s that busy.
"Crap!" John laughed too. He usually always have to clean out the bodies from the basement, and believe its not an easy job.
"By the way, she peed on the floor." Ashley said laughing harder. John signed and grabbed the usual cleaning bucket. It had bleach, steel wool, gloves, ax and a big trash bag. You should know what the ax and trash bag is for, but if you don't, he’s going to chop her up into pieces and stuff her in the bag then have Frank the trash man who’s on their alliance haul the pieces away to the dump.
"Well lets go, you can clean later," Ashley said as she grabbed her blue bag and John grabbed his green. They walked out the door and saw their neighbor Lucy gardening. A women in her mid forties that lives across the street. She had nice natural red hair and a smooth face, Ashley and John used to debate that she used botax, it didn't look natural.
"Hey there! How are you guys doing?" she said with a warming smile.
"Fine! Your roses are looking very nice!" John yelled across the street as the got in their van and drove off before Lucy could respond. They drove through their nice suburbs and in to the even nicer suburbs, you know the ones with all two story houses. The ones with more than one shiny car in their driveway. Then they pulled up to a blue house with a big multi-colored flower garden. Mr. Allisons's car was gone so you know she was home. Ms. Allison has no life outside her house, no friends, no bookclub not even a person you see every day and you wish you didn't, but still enjoy that they exist. Ashley and John pulled up the drive way and got out the car slowly.
"Are you ready?" Ashley said staring at John leaning against the car. Before she kills anyone she thinks of John because she never knows if it will be the last time she sees him. Of course shes madly in love with him, ever since she met him at the party in second grade shes had something with him, but for now they're just friends. Not that she wants to be, but for now.
"Ya, how are we going to do this?" he said staring back at her. You could probably guess that he’s in love with her and if you did then your right. He’s never said anything about it because he’s afraid that she wouldn't feel the same, but of course she does so for now lets leave it at that.
"Just follow my lead," Ashley said walking to the door. She stood there and signed, then knocked at the door. She heard foot steps running down some stairs then the door swung open.
"Oo ares yook," questioned a little Asian lady in a maids' outfit.
"I'm Lily and this is Conner and is Mrs. Allison here?" Ashley said slowly like you would tell someone who couldn't speak English. No one knew them by their real name, not even their closest friends because everybody’s a traitor.
"Mez Alson, yook haves visitors," the maid shouted up the stairs, "Come in please."
"John," Ashley whispered to him, "We need to silently kill the maid then tie up Vicky's mom up stairs. Remember silently, the walls aren't sound proof like our basement."
"Got it," he whispered back. Ashley stuck her and in her pocket an felt the swith blade, then she slowly pulled it out. John looked at her and nodded, she signed then ran up to the maid and put her hand over her mouth and a the knife to the her neck. The maid started to squirm and Ashley kicked her.
"Shhh, shhhh. Calm down now or I'll show you what I'll do to a bad maid," said Ashley as she started to drag her in to the kitchen. John followed but still keeping his eye on the stairs. John always had to be the cautious one because if he wasn't the would be in jail or a world record book for most killings. Ashley would be in for best torturer, he does like to admit it, but she has skill.
"How are you going to kill her?" he asked not even looking at her, he was still focused on the stairs.
"So there wont be any blood, I'll crack her neck," and in one simple twist Ashley broke the maid's neck. John twitched a little at the horrid sound of bones cracking and twisting.
"You know that always freaks me out, why couldn't you just stab her?" he said as he picked up the maid's body. He could feel his head throb from that sound he will never forget, its the sound that came from his parents room when he was eight. His mom had ran out the room crying and when John looked inside, he could see the blank stare of his dad.
"Do you wanna clean up blood right now?" Ashley said breaking him lose from his mind. John just nodded in agreement and they carried the maid to the backyard. They both ran to the couch as they heard the toilet flush. They jumped on the couch and sat next to each other. They tried to act like a couple because last time they seen Vicky's mom they were undercover as a couple in Hong Kong.
"Hello there!" Vicky's mom said with a grand smile.
"Hey there Mrs. Allison, how are you doing?" Ashley said sounding so nice even John couldn't believe it.
"Call me Kacy, and I'm doing fine. So what brings you here?" Kacy said sitting in a chair next to the sofa. It was one of those matching recliner sets. The ones with the really bad fabric that only old lonely people would get, exhibit A: Kacy.
"We're here to talk to you about Victoria, do you know where she is? By the way honey go get my blue purse out of the car, I want to show Kacy that new lipgloss I got from California," Ashley said casually and John stared at her for a good 5 second then got up.
Kacy sat up and said, "To tell you the truth, I haven't seen Victoria since Derek died."
"Derek died?" Ashley said sounding surprised as John walked in with the blue bag, "Ummm, do you know Victoria's number?"
"Oh yes, I just spoke to her last night, but she didn't tell me where she is," Kacy said staring at John a little weird. She looked at him curiously like a person might a animal who’s doing something quite unusual. Ashley noticed and reached in her bag and put her hand on the gun and turned it off safety.
"So, may I have it. So I can call her my self," Ashley said now hand tighter and the gun as Kacy stared.
"Not to offended, but I hardly know you guys and I do--" Kacy stopped as Ashley pointed the gun at her.
"Just give the number and every thing will be alright," Ashley said with a tired smile, John, get the rope."
"Whatever," John said as he went back to the car to get the rope. He sounded tired and had a lazy walk.
"Why are you doing this?" Kacy mumbled. Ashley looked at her and sighed, she couldn't think of an answer that would sum everything up or make sense.
"Long story. Now wheres the number?" John walked in with a the rope and a piece of paper in his hand. He sat down next to Kacy and unfolded it, it was a picture of Victoria and Kate. On the back it said,
'me and Vicky spring break 2008'
"Have you seen this girl?" John asked sadly, he missed Kate’s horrible handwriting. He remembers one summer when they were in Alaska and they made all the bombs the needed and they had nothing to do so he tried to teach her cursive.
"No I haven't. What’s this about?" Kacy demanded looking around. John rolled his eyes and put his face deep in his hands. Ashley signed and started tying up Kacy, she didn't even bother to struggle because she was too confused. Ashley threw her in a corner and walked over to the phone, next to it was a little sticky that said,
'Vicky's cell: 555-7823'
Ashley stared at John, his face barely rising from his hands. Stress written all over his face. Ashley looked at the phone and dialed the number.
"Why? I thought we were going to see Derek," John said.
"If we find Vicky, we find Derek. Gosh you’re smart," Ashley said annoyed. John always like this when plans change. He says he gets confused. "Sorry I took so long, she was a struggler, but she’s dead now."
