Has the recent affiliate competition been getting more aggressive? Do you find that others are cutting your sales margin? Utilizing a common game concept, I formulated a three step procedure which will teach you how could you slowly snipe at your competitors and then eventually crush them. Check it out to find out more.
I compare affiliate marketing as to a game of Tic-Tac-Toe, once you get the correct strategy, its a matter of persevering all the way till your competitors becomes absent-minded.
In today's affiliate marketing market, the competition have only grown bigger and stronger as more and more people are joining affiliate marketing as an alternative source of income.
Hence, within this article you will learn how to:
• TIC : TIC-king off your competitors.
• TAC: at-TAC-king your competitors with different strategies.
• TOE: Step on your competitors' TOE-s.
TIC : TIC-king off your competitors.
What could be a better way to irritate and annoy your fellow affiliate marketing competitors other than stealing their sales? Of cause, i am not going to talk about hacking their affiliate links or whatever.
What i am going to provide here are several clean and upright tactics you could implement to get your competitors pissed off, and at the same time benefit yourself.
1) Article nit-picking
Analyze your competitors articles. Usually there will be some flaws here and there that is by human nature, neglected. List them down and then choose 1~2 of the worst mistakes and blatantly write it down within the comments, and link back to your own article of correcting those mistakes. This method sort of shakes the faith of their loyalists and pull them towards yourself.
2) Blogging critics
Check out your competitors' blogs. Lets say they are doing a product review, and most of the time they will be hype-ing up their reviews in order to get sales right? As usual, take down some of the mistakes they made, choose 1~2 of the worst, and leave a BIG comment there pointing out their irregularities. Also provide a convenient link back to YOUR site with the "CORRECT" description. Stealing loyal customers, steal their sales.
3) Do the same for the REST!
Once you gotten the basic concept of TIC-king, apply it for the rest of their marketing strategies like squiddo lenses or forums! Whichever and whatever you can think of! Poke your fellow affiliate marketing competitors in their back with a BBQ stick!
TAC: at-TAC-king your competitors with different strategies.
Okay, you have poked at them for fun and for some laughs, now its time to get to the serious affiliate marketing strategies. Its time to attack them with the burning hot charcoals from the remains of a Barbecue pit. Its time to burn them down with aggressive marketing tactics.
1) Keywords' as dense as lead. (prevents harmful radiation but poisons you at the same time)
Kill their keyword densities by obtaining an account of the amount of keywords used, create your own articles with just one or two more keywords of those used within THEIR sites. All it takes is one or two more keywords to jump over your competitors' heads. Especially in affiliate marketing, who comes first, gets the most, and dumps the rest.
2) Out-PPC-ing them. ( Hurts your wallets though)
Well, only one PPC advertisement website is worth stomping on your competitors with. Well maybe you might argue there could be a few, however, just for this article: "GOOGLE"
Seriously, use the highest amount of money to bid for the vital keywords.. Adwords basically handles the rest. Whatever got to do with "GOOGLE" is sure to succeed in one way or another. Unsure how to utilize their system to the maximum? Check out their FAQs. "GOOGLE" covers every area.
3) There are definitely many more ways of attacking, however, most of them are at the gray area between the black and the white hats. For legitimate reasons, i shall not list them down here, but if you're interested to find out more, "GOOGLE" for it. Affiliate marketing has reached to a point where it is permanently GREY.
TOE: Step on your competitors' TOE-s.
What's got affiliate marketing got to do your competitors' toes? OKAY! Confession time. I made this last segment up! Couldn't find a way to make TOE blend in within my acronym. Disappointed? Actually i am just kidding. At this stage, you literally STEP on your competitors, giving them no leeway of reviving up to your levels.
Its like Google versus the rest of the world. "GOOGLE" says: " I am going to step on all of your toes." And the rest of the world sticks their toes out for "GOOGLE" to step on. At this point, you, as a successful affiliate marketer, must be strong enough to dominate your market.
1) Gather whatever information you have on ALL of your competitor.
2) Gather all the positive points. Store all the negative points in the other side.
3) Add in the positive points to YOUR business.
4) Tear your competitors apart by throwing all their negative points in their faces. (whichever way of throwing is entirely up to you)
5) Step on your competitors' TOE-s
(Btw, this method won't work on "GOOGLE". 100% guaranteed)
Finally, here we are at the conclusion of the Tic-Tac-Toe of Affiliate marketing. I really appreciate spending about 15 minutes of your valuable time reading my article. I tried to make it as fun as possible so as not to bore you.
Once again, thank you for your time and have a great day ahead!
