The Thing That Made You Say Yes, Finally Part 1

A short story I wrote when I was home alone and got bored. Please enjoy :))
His hand brushed up against my cheek and I leaned in closer laying my head on his chest. I didn’t bother mentioning that he was supposed to be home just only a few minutes ago. This moment was too perfect to be lost. It was like an image taken by a great artist who wanted this picture to be captured forever. That’s how I felt. I wanted this to last forever. His arm moved around my shoulder and he lay it on my lap. The clock in my room struck 9:00. I couldn’t let him leave. I mean he hadn’t made any gestures or suggestions that he had to leave but the thought made me feel restless.

I really had never made the thought of Josh truly showing any feeling or thought to actually wanting to sleep over at my place, but I knew my mother would be up here sooner or later, escorting my love interest out the door into the cold. Ugh! Why was it so hard for me to have a simple conversation without putting Josh into it. He was all I ever thought about and since our late night connections, my teachers have noticed my grades slipping slightly. My mom and dad have also noticed that I’ve been giving Josh a lot more attention then I used to do when we first started going out.((Ring Ring)) My pocket was buzzing.

I blame myself for this interruption. I told all my friends that my line would be open 24/7. What a mistake that was. I pushed my fingers through his interlocking them. Right away he looked at me and smiled so innocently. I could have died right then and there. It was the most beautiful smile I had ever seen. My eyes were locked on his and I didn’t want any distractions. ((Ring Ring)) "You should probably get that." Josh untangled our fingers and reached into my pocket. He opened my phone and spoke with a stern and serious tone. His face expression read blank, but the emotion in his eyes read passionate, exlirated, and probably frustrated with the caller on the other line.

I stood up and unwrinkled all the uncomfortable feelings in my clothing. I threw myself onto my bed, and threw my pillow at him. With no caution or advisory of the object being thrown at him he was smacked in the face with it. I giggled to myself and gave Josh an angel pout. I knew he couldn’t resist my pout but I felt a little bit like a stubborn girlfriend. I felt guilty at that moment, so I grabbed the collar of his shirt and pulled his face tight against mine. I leaned and pecked him on his lips. As I pulled away I felt like a vampire. An odd thing to resemble it to, but I did feel like one. I was satisfied. I turned my head facing where we were sitting peacefully and realized we had forgotten about the caller on the other line.
