God, The Sustainer of the Universe is Powerful

Who can count the stars? Humans can't even count them. We can't, but the Creator surely did and has been doing it since the cradle of humanity came to existence. He is the Sustainer of us all...
How much power does it take to lift heavy weights? Ask those who train for years to build those pack of muscles! How much power does it take to lift a car or an elephant? The power of a big enough crane could be a possible answer.

Have you ever thought about how much power and intelligence would take to lift the Earth? How about our galaxy and then...the infinity of our universe?

There is a joke that pictures this in I'd say, an clever way: there was a scientist who came to God and told Him:"You know, I have discovered everything about the human body and I can prove that I can create a man. As you first made Adam, I am able to make one too". "All right, make it" was God's answer. When the scientist brought all the clay he needed and was about to start, God stopped him saying: "Wait, bring your own clay!"

It is funny but says a lot, who invented time, matter, space? The clay of the scientist? God talks about His power and once more incites our minds, causing us to recognize the reality of His Being.

The following Bible quotations describe the Creator's power shown in the physical world, also represented in His Son, Jesus Christ and demonstrated to the ones that believe in God today.

1. The power of God that sustains the physical world:

"See now that I myself am He! There is no god besides me. I put to death and I bring to life, I have wounded and I will heal, and no one can deliver out of my hand." Deuteronomy 32:39

"Yes, and from ancient days I am he. No one can deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can reverse it?" Isaiah 43:13

"My own hand laid the foundations of the earth, and my right hand spread out the heavens; when I summon them, they all stand up together." Isaiah 48:13

"I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?" Jeremiah 32:27

"O LORD God Almighty, who is like you? You are mighty, O LORD, and your faithfulness surrounds you. Your arm is endued with power; your hand is strong, your right hand exalted." Psalm 89:8,13

"Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all." 1Chronicals 29:11

"In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands." Psalm 102:25

"When you send your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the earth." Psalm 104:30

"The LORD will lay bare his holy arm in the sight of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God." Isaiah 52:10

"He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end." Ecclesiast 3:11

2.God confirmed His power in Jesus: "The Son (Jesus) is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word." Hebrew 1:3

"For by him (Jesus) all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together." Colossians 1:16, 17

"And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross." Colossians 2:15

3.God shows His power today in the people who really believe in Him:

"And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name (Jesus) they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well." Mark 16

I will conclude using Jesus' words, He tells us that we should not fear people, but we should fear God: "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell." Matthew 6:28

His power is great and incommensurable, we cannot comprehend it, yet His love is the same: "The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18 That's why, trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal.
