The Successful Shopper - Buying the Perfect Coffee Machine

What you want to look for when finding the perfect coffee machines. FAQs and answers that commonly arise when being faced with pricey decisions that may not be easily refunded.
Below are a few general questions to ask your self when shopping for a coffee maker:
  • How often will I use it?
  • Will a one cup do the job or do I need a ten cup coffee maker?
  • How much coffee will I need and when will I need it?
  • What is my preferred brew? How quickly do I need my fix?
  • Do I have the time or the interest to grind my own coffee beans?
  • How much time am I willing to spend cleaning it?
  • How much space is available for my coffee maker?
  • And final most important question may be, what am I willing to spend?
One of the best ways to find a quality coffee maker is to do some research through consumer groups. These are going to be helpful and have feedback from actual people who have used a variety of machines. From there you should be able to start to narrow down your choice of machine and have a better idea of what is going to be the best fit for you.

During your research you will begin to notice that the majority of machines are the more inexpensive drip model. This is the most common house hold style and a reliable model. The drip model is a simple process of putting the coffee grinds in the filter, filling the tank with the appropriate water, and pressing the start button. The water then runs through the coffee grinds in the filter and the result is a dripping of coffee into the pot.

Again that is the simplest and most common coffee machine. However there are plenty of other machines that go way beyond the norm and can have some great features on them. You can go as far as getting a coffee machine with a built in television screen on it. While this may be a little extreme, some consumers will find that feature fascinating and pay up for it.

Some of the essentials you want to look for in a coffee machine are timed brew. This feature allows you to set a timer for when the coffee making process will start. This is a great feature for someone who wants a cup of coffee first thing in the morning. You also may want to look into a coffee maker that has a self cleaning mechanism. Coffee makers are not the easiest things to clean and you don’t want to spend all your time cleaning out the coffee machine every time you use it. This extra feature may be worth the increase in price. One last feature that may make your coffee brewing experience a little easier, and produce a more quality coffee, built in coffee grinder. This will insure freshly ground coffee and save you the time and energy of grinding the coffee yourself.
