The Story...
Dun Dun Dun....!!!
We drove along the road. My car smoothly gliding on the twists and turns. We were having a wonderful time reminiscing on our highschool days. I glanced over at her as she removed a piece of hair from her face. Everything became so real just then.
"I can't believe what I'm gonna do." I whispered to myself quietly so she wouldn't hear.
She kept talking and laughing and I joined in even though I could barely hear anything over my beating heart. Then she started talking about her university.
"Its gonna be so cool. The dorms are so awesome! Me and Dale are gonna be roomates."
I squinted at that name. Dale was her boyfriend. I could've been her boyfriend if everything would've worked out like it was supposed to years ago...
She snapped in my face to get my attention.
"David." she said "thanks for the ride to the airport."
"No problem." I replied.
A few minutes of silence followed until I turned onto a dirt road.
"Why did you turn here?"
I thought for a moment. I guess I'd tell her. We were almost there anyway.
"I love you, and I'm sorry. But there's no other way. You going to college just doesn't work for me."
"What?"
"When you're gone, I don't know what to do with myself. You won't be just a drive away this time, and I can't take that. So I came up with a wonderful idea. And it's that today, right now, we die together."
My speech ended on perfect timing as my car flew off the edge of the cliff. As we flew in the air I let her screams sooth me.
