The Snow Outside

I looked out of my window
At a blanket of white
Glittering colors of blue, green and red
Were shining in the sunlight.

I looked out at a white world
Of frozen ground and bare tree branches
Yet as dark clouds blew in
And more snow fell
The barren landscape
Became a winter wonderland.

I ran out to be a part of it all
Looking up at my fir tree so tall
Snowflakes swirled about
And I made a snowman
To greet those going by.
