The Skies Cried Rain

Margaret Robe wrote this! She told me to put it online for her as one of mine…
I woke last night
under the skies dark blanket.
It breathed the night air,
and lit the sky with a thousand stars.

It woke me in the morning,
it had switched its bedside lamp on
her cloak was made of blue
with silk thread it was sewn.

Her eyes and smile lit the sky
but it soon was turned into a frown.
her eyes hot heavy and soon they closed
and her cloak
was turned a tattered grey.

She tossed and turned
and lashed out in anger
and down to the earth
with her long bony fingers

soon her anger subsided
and her vial of rage blew away.
she pressed her face against the window
and misted my face and drenched my pillow.

She looked down at us
slowly getting softer
then she looked down at me
and
cried
cried
cried
RAIN
