The Shoes Don't Fit

Poetry helped me get more insight into myself I adjusted from being a family man to a single man with kids living away from me. I became more aware of my surroundings and started to see everything around me. This is one of the things I had observed. This is a piece back from 1998.
To wear her shoes
Is to follow the pain,
The agony
The broken promises,
The lies,
The frustration,
Fending for herself,
Feeding the babies
Her shoes, too small
Can't fit in,
Still trying to
To understand,
More of what she needs
