The Sheep and the Goats
A poem about sheep and goats and what not.
Following their leader
He stands tall
With a proud smile
Protecting them from evil
Goats are so gray and stern
Refusing to fallow a fool dressed in robes.
They walk on their own
Always running from danger
The sheep are led
By the fool
Into a house they’ve never seen
A strange man walks to them
And takes a knife
And slaughters them
The goats look through the window
Seeing their sheep friends
On plates
In pots
Covered in sweet and sour sauce.
The same man comes at them
The goats baa and kick
And run from the hills
Back to their field of grass and freedom.
