Chapter 8
4 YEARS LATER...
Since then, I've never contact Zach. We don't see each other after the accident which happened 4 years ago anymore. But I've never once regretted what I did 4 years ago. This was all an accident. Nobody knew it would happened. I don't know either. I don't blame Zach for there. For the past 4 years, I had tried my best to make myself speak out everyday. Eventually, my patience was rewarded.
" Amelia! Amelia! Quick quick! There's gonna be lots of people there! " Madeleine called out. She was a girl I've known in the hospital few years ago. We have been friend since then.
" Okay okay. Slow down. " What I meant by reward was this. Yes! I can speak now! I went back to normal. I totally recovered!
" Quick! Otherwise, we can't get into the front. That is the way we get to see Zach! "
" How about Emma? Where is she now? Hold on, you go on first. I'll call her. "
" Ok. see you later! Bye! " She waved and ran away. We were forced to come Zach's concert because of Madeline. She had been a really great fans of Zach's. I tried to reach Emma but no one picks up the phone. I wondered if she's okay.
" Ahhh!! Zach!!! I love you! I love you! " I saw many girls gathered at the corridor. And so I walked to the crowds to check out. I saw Zach smiling widely to the crowds. I quickly leave the crowd and punched Emma's number.
" Hello? Emma, when are you coming? " I shouted as the crowds were really noisy and chaotic.
" Hello?? Amelia! I'm not going. Im sorry. Give my ticket to someone else. Something came up suddenly. Sorry. " Emma apologized and hang up. I sighed and squeezed into the crowds to meet Madeleine.
" Madeleine, finally found you. " I said, feeling glad to find her.
" I just talked to Zach. " Madeleine grinned.
" What? You know him? " I asked.
" Actually, yes. Zach's brother and I were.... " Madeleine hesitated.
" No point hiding from me. Just spit it out. " I crossed my arms below my chest.
" Well... " She chuckled. " Zach's brother and I were lover back then. " She blushed.
" Wh.. What? You and Ryan were one last time? " I choked.
" Ryan? How do you know Ryan? " She raised her eyebrows.
" Ermm... Well, I.. " I choked.
" You too, spit it out! " She glared at me.
" Well... " I chuckled. " I saw him on the magazine. You know, I might not be a big fan of Zach but I'm a big fan of Ryan. He's a very successful guy! " I blurted out. I came out with this really-stupid idea.
" Hmm... Of course. " Madeleine grinned. I couldn't believe she actually believed in my lies. Anyway, that'll be good for me too as I do not want to reveal my past.
" And why are you a fan of Zach instead of Ryan? " I asked.
" Ahh! Zach! I love you! " The crowds interrupted our conversation.
" Omgs! Zach's here! I'll be in the front! I'll come back here later! " Madeleine ran in front to join the crowds.
" Madeleine's really obsessed. " I sighed and sat on the side while the others were being extremely crazy about Zach.
" Its me, I've been waiting all night for you. But you never came. I need you, I want you. I love you.... " As Zach sang, I walked to the crowds. I've never see him in person for a long time. i wondered how good-looking had he became. God, I know I shouldn't feel anything for this guy anymore. But at least, let me see him. I just want to make sure he's alright. He's happy, I'm happy too.
" Finally over. " I mumbled as Madeleine walked out of the crowds.
" Holy! That was awesome! Zach's the coolest guy ever! " Madeleine shouted.
" Ya right. " I blurted out and gave Madeleine a What-So-Great-About-Zach? look.
" I know, Amelia. You're just jealous I was his brother's ex. " Madeleine giggled.
" Why should I be? " I gave her a WTF look.
" Well, you love Ryan, don't you? " She asked.
" Huh? Since when.... " That was when I realized I nearly reveal everything out. " I.. I mean... Yes, I love him. And alright, I'm jealous of you. "I sighed. Jealous was the last thing I would ever feel for Madeleine.
" Anyway, why didn't you tell me you were Ryan's ex back then? " I asked.
" Aww... Don't be mad at me, Amelia. I just didn't want to reveal my past to everyone. " Madeleine grinned and took a sip of her diet coke.
" Alright. Thanks that you were willing to share your past with me though. " I smiled.
" Hello! We're best friends for 2 years already. " She giggled. Suddenly, my handphone vibrated.
" Hold on. I've got a message. " I said and took my handphone out.
' Ame, I'm at the Aliceton Park. I need you here right now. You alone. Emma. '
Emma had never liked Madeleine. She told me Madeleine wasn't a good friend at all but still, I believe Madeleine isn't that bad.
" Mad, I gotta go. My mum's looking for me. " I gave an excuse and escaped.
" Remember to text me when you're back. Bye, Amelia. " Madeleine smiled.
" Alright, I will. Bye. " I waved Madeleine goodbye and ran off.
" Emma, what happened? Your message seemed like urgent to me so I came as quick as possible. " I asked as I saw Emma was sitting on the bench alone with her hands on her face.
" Amelia? " She lifted her head up and I realized her eyes were red.
" Emma? What happened? Why are you crying? " I approached and hugged her.
" My father's company is going to go bankrupt. " Emma cried in my shoulder.
" What? Bankrupt? What exactly happened? " I asked.
" My father's company is facing a financial problem. My father tried to set his company free from the Global. They refused to let my father's company free and threatened him. " She sobbed.
" What? Global? " This name seemed familiar to me. Suddenly, flashbacks emerged in my mind. " Please, Ame.. Engage to the Prince of Global Company." That was Michael's words.
" Ya, they called it The Global. It's the biggest and also the richest company in our country. They earned billions and owed many companies. "
" Did you just said The Global? Isn't that... Ryan's company? " I choked.
" Ryan? You.. mean.. Zach's brother, Ryan? " She raised her eyebrows in shock.
