The Return

An awaited relief.
The Winds are blowing from the southwest. It is an indication of life. The sky has been since the day, changing its color from blue to gray, making the weather sultry. But, it is a welcome change. As the day is near its end, the Clouds begin to flock together. The sky in no time turns dark gray. They push each other in, to huddle up tightly. A clamor begins high above, sending down thunder and lighting.

She breathes a sigh of relief. Her thirst will be quenched with Water, where life first began. She looks up and signals her companions that it is the time to rest now. Celebrations begin. Dressed and decorated the companions show true colors. The Red turns righteous; the Yellow turns youthful; White turns wise and the Violet turns vivid. They dance with laughter to the symphony of the Wind.

At the crescendo, tiny drops descend. As they grow in number, they become bigger and heavier. The Wind too cools itself and its zephyrs become a great relief. She takes the touch of water as though she has touched it for the first time. The Water revives and restores her life. She exalts in her spirit. Assured, that she, the Earth, is the caretaker of life returns to herself again.
