The Return Of The Master

About a girl who is treated badly by her man, and finds someone else whilst out of his company, but then when he comes back it has to be forgotten.
There once was a master who owned the land
He had servants and maids, and his own jazz band
One day he left to find more slaves for himself
To add to his extra large stash of wealth
He left his lover behind in search of gold
He left her out in the bitterly cold
Then a knight came along and saved her kindly
But the knights wealth was ever so tiny
It didn’t matter to her though, she wasn’t that low
She didn’t want gold to splash around and show
She fell in love with this brave sir knight
The two of them were a beautiful sight
But then came word of the masters return
For the lady and knight it was bad news to learn
He arrived back with riches of slaves
In only a few very short days
On his return the mistress was there
And the master to her showed no kindness or care
He told her to prepare his banquet right now
While he stood before his people to make a smile and bow
And so the romance of the knight was purely buried
But through her life those memories were carried
The mistress and knight were perfect together
But if the master found out, they’d be beaten with lashes of leather
So no-one mentioned their love, not a word
The master never found out, he never heard
The master carried on bringing silver and gold
The mistress and knights love was never told
It was torture to know they could never show their true heart
And would forever live their lives miserably and torn apart
