The Red Sea
Sitting so beautifully,
Tall and slender,
Large but gliding,
Quickly across the lake.
The river of red,
Bright and sparkling,
Starting so small,
Such a wide area to flood.
Gushing so fast,
Fixed only by the presents,
Of the great goddess,
The mermaid of the sea.
She rushes around so smooth,
Keeping busy,
Happy to unblock,
Thriving off the need to help,
To redeem her master.
The bigger the pathway,
The sooner he’s free,
The deeper the river bed,
The larger his vessel.
But what stops him?
Why can’t he get here?
Why can’t he come and help?
Why does the river take so long to fix?
He needs to get here,
I need him to help me,
To stop them,
To tell me what to do.
I won’t push you away again,
I need you’re help so bad,
Coz it’s hurting,
So deep inside.
The goddess exhausted,
Stops working and cracks,
Broken inside unable to heal,
Left on her own on the wide ocean.
She plunges deep in,
Takes the dive,
Pain goes searing,
Falling, falling so far,
To the ground.
