The Rebels

A story I wrote for one of my English homework's. My keyboard is pretty tricky to type on, so I do apologize in advance in case there's a typo or whatever. Enjoy! This is a one-shot, and there will be no sequel.
High school is tough. Especially for the two incoming students. Brother and sister, new to the neighborhood, new to the school, new to the system. Alienated. Completely lost. Welcome to Bryce Dawson High School, where new students are the usual thing, and nobody notices them until they arrive in a class and blurt out 'Hey, I'm the new kid.'. This wasn't the same for these new students. Astrid and Jensen Trumper, were not the usual seniors you'd expect to see in a high school. They'd just arrived here, and were not about to leave Bryce Dawson unconquered. This was exactly what the president of the student body needed ; another pact bashing up his peaceful school.

'I heard that she set fire to the classroom, and that he set up a stink bomb in the principals office!' A girl whispered to her friend when the twins were passing by. Wrong timing. As soon as that sentence was finished, Astrid turned around to glare at the girl with her intimidating mat black eyes. Jensen tugged on her arm, pulling her forward, and telling her something that made her snigger. Astrid's eyes sparkled with hate, and the same grimace on her face was reflected on that of Jensen.
'Excuse me,' Astrid called after the girl, who had already started to back away. 'I'm sorry for that. I just don't like it when the topic is brought up. Do you mind telling me where we could find the Principals office?'

'I-It's okay. The office is up on the second floor. Do you want me to accompany you? I'm heading that way, anyway.' the girl said, her voice trembling with fear of Astrid, who stood over her, her piercing eyes staring intently into the girl's own. 'I'm Tori by the way. I prefer to be called Torrance, though.'
'Astrid. And he's Jensen. We're twins, yes.' Astrid said, and Torrance swore she could hear Astrid's voice soften, and even the hate from her eyes seemed to disappear. 'Oh, and I didn't set the room on fire. It was the teachers hair.' Astrid added, and sniggered.
'In that case, it's not so bad. We've had that happen here. It's pretty common.' Torrance said, and they made their way to the principals office. When they arrived, Torrance said that there was no need for her to go on, and she was heading to class. Astrid thanked her for bringing them this far. The twins stepped into the office, and immediately the principal, who was looking down, said 'New students. We haven't had that for a while.' he looked up, at the faces of two teens standing before him, and snapped. 'It's you two. What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be with your father?'

'Hello Uncle. It's been ages, hasn't it?' Jensen retorted. 'You seem to have found a decent toupee to put on that bald head of yours.' Astrid added, and he immediately stood up, stared at the twins and shouted, 'WHY ARE YOU HERE?'. To which the only response was evil sniggering.
'We were expelled. We need a new school. Can't you help you niece and nephew, just this once?' Jensen and Astrid said in unison, putting on their famous Angel faces.
'No...Oh, alright then. Take your timetables and go to class. It's Art first, for the class I put you in, Astrid. Jensen, you take this one. It's Maths first. Downstairs. Hurry, or you'll be late.'
There was no response, just a stare from the twins to him. He suspected that they were perhaps looking for the correct way to express their affection. He was wrong.

'Look at this. Van Gogh was a genius! You will never be that Michael. You cannot draw a sky, with a goat floating in it. Honestly, you need to get serious!' the teacher snapped. Oh boy, this is going to be exciting. Astrid thought to herself, and knocked on the door.
'Sorry, we do not accept late projects. Come back later.'
'I'm not a late project, I'm your new student.'
'Ah, look who it is. Well, Trumper, I haven't seen you since you were 5. Why the sudden arrival?'
'Expelled.' she snapped, and walked to the empty seat in the corner.
'Excuse me. I did not permit you to sit there. Get over here, now.' the teacher snapped.
'You're excused. I don't need a permission. Now, if you don't mind, I'll just leave your class right now, without permission.' Astrid said, and a few people cheered her on, and ran after her when she exited the classroom.

'Dude! That was so brave!' Some girl cheered, but Astrid didn't listen, she just continued marching forward, to meet Jensen, who was already resting his back on the corridor wall.
'That was quick.' He said. 'Shall we go?'
'Yeah. Hurry. That old bag is probably calling him..' Astrid replied, and the twins ran down the corridor, took out the spray paint they always carried with them, and ran to the closest wall.
'We're doing what we did back at home, right?' Astrid questioned.
'Oh yeah, just this time, let's finish faster, to avoid getting arrested.' Jensen said jokingly, and they laughed together. They laughed, for the first time, in a very, very long time.
I'm doing the head. You do the body, deal?' Jensen blurted, distracting Astrid.
'Yeah, just hurry!'

Within a few minutes the twins finished their artwork. They'd written 'Welcome to our world.' and gratified an image of their uncle on the wall.
'We didn't sign it.' Astrid said.
'Do we seriously need to?' Jensen joked. 'After our reputation, you'd just know it was us.'
'Yeah, but we should. Plus, it's going to cover more of the wall.' Astrid said, and laughed.
She took out her spray, and wrote a word that was familiar to them both. 'The Rebels.'. Something they had been dubbed when they were five, after they ran away from a supermarket, and stole a bike.
Well, what can I say. The rebels have stuck again.
