The "Real" Reality

What if life was one big mechanical factory...and all of us just robots in the mix? No emotions..no thoughts..no responsibilities..no fears.... just doing what we're told to, no objection to it. Most people would say that's crazy...that no way they would want to be a cog in that machine. But the truth is, deep inside, we all have doubts. What would it be like to never fear? What would it be like to never doubt? What would it be like to never hurt? True, the more substantial emotions such as happiness, heartfelt joy, love triumphs it all...but what if we all, never get out ever-expected happily ever after? To tell you the truth, I've been one to rely on them...fairy tales in the truest sense. But wouldn't you know it?...I'm as far from riding on a white horse to a magic castle with my prince charming as I can ever be.

People often say, "believe in yourself and you'll succeed", "when there's a will there's a way"..done act like you haven't heard them....we've all heard the philosophies, the famous proverbs, but nothing's that easy. You can't just jump off a building and expect to fly...you need a backup..a "parachute"...or you'll go plummeting head-first to the ground. Life's not easy, but then again, no one said it would be.

But some people have their dreams shattered, their inspirations crushed...just cuz they didn't snap out of the dream world fast enough...just because they believed they could fly without a parachute...just because....well because it's better than reality. Everyone knows it, everyone believes it...but at the end of the day you gotta stop dreaming and face reality...cuz at the end that's all there is...
Cuz at the end...that's all that's real!
