The Prom 9 - Part 2

Lily:
"No. I'm not sure. I think... I don't know..." lily responded. She WAS pregnant after all. Even if it was their wedding night. She looked up at golden, smiled, and said "it's okay though. I want to check out the house more, and I think... do I hear water running?"
Golden:
Wow. Lily had totally just shut him down. But it was okay. He didn't want to do anything that could jeopardize the babies health. "yes, that is running water you hear. Why don't you go and take a look out back?" then he smiled at her, and she turned to walk out the door.
Lily:
There was NO WAY there was a creek or river out back... lily thought to herself as she walked to the back door. When she opened it though, there it was. A beautiful brook going through the yard... lily couldn't help but walk quickly over to the brook, and look in it, it was the clearest water she had ever seen. She heard footsteps behind her and as she turned to look, she lost her balance and started to fall.
In an instant there was nothing but air, and then she was in golden's arms, as he had caught her...
Golden:
He did not know why lily was so prone to accidents, but he thanked everything that he happened to have been there when she was falling. That would have been horrible.
They were scheduled for doctors appointment the day after for the checkup on the baby, and he would finally be able to tell the gender, and if there was anything wrong...
Lily:
She loved him. she really did. He was always there for her when she fell. Literally. But there was something more... about the way he held his hands protectively over her belly... the way he kissed her good morning, good night, and everywhere in between...
Lily was brought back to reality when golden placed a kiss to the back of her neck. They were still standing at the awkward angle that he had caught her in...
"I'm going to go back to the house baby, and going to go to bed. I'm tired. Sorry" she told golden., then walked back into the house,
Golden:
He did not follow her immediately, but instead watched her go. He came in just as she was getting into bed, and he climbed into bed beside her, pressed a kiss to her forehead, and cuddled her into his arms.. where they both fell asleep....
