The Project that Changed my LIfe - Chapter 5
That saleswoman in the shop seemed weird, almost like a witch...
Chapter 5: Finding a way to help Mom
Mom's been so weird recently. I mean she's ALWAYS forgetting something that she would always remember!
"Mom," I called from the kitchen. "Where did you put my lunch?" "It's where it always is Darling, right next to the kettle." She said from the bedroom. "I've looked!" I yelled, starting to get annoyed.
But she'll snap out of it, hopefully? Maybe?
It was the next day when I realized that it was getting worse! I couldn't let my mother be under a stupid spell done by an unusual sales woman. So I decided that Dad could help me. "Dad," I said from outside my parents' bedroom. "Could you please help me with something?" "Sure," he answered from inside the room. "Just give me a second and I'll be there." "Okay, I'll be in the kitchen, just so you know." I told him from where I was standing. I started to walk to the kitchen, thinking of how to say: Mom's been put under a spell and she's not been herself, without frightening him. I heard his heavy boots clang against the tiles. "So what was the problem you were asking?" "Um well Dad," I stuttered. "Have you noticed that Mom's a bit different than 2days ago?" "Yeah I have, do you know what's wrong?" He questioned. "Well yes. Sort of" I answered. I told him every last detail of what had happened. "Extraordinary!" he muttered. "But Mom's been very forgetful. And I've been looking and each day is getting worse!" I said. "I see. Now how do you suppose we fix it?" He asked. "I'm not that sure, but I think if we go and find that woman that did this to her, hopefully she'll be-able to reverse it." "Good idea Gabi let's go now!" Dad commanded.
We were in the shop and looking everywhere for that saleswoman that started all this chaos. But as I said before, the shop is huge! So she could be anywhere! So as last time we scanned each isle. I grabbed my dad's arm. "Dad I see her!" I said pointing to her, she was putting a charcoal bag in its place. "Excuse me Miss, but I was looking at your shop and it was huge. But I couldn't find the mirrors. Would you help me find them?" Dad asked. "Sure it's over...." She couldn't finish her sentence as Dad had grabbed her by her arms so she wouldn't run away. "Okay, Miss Rein" I read her name tag. "And I know what happened to my mother. You put her under a spell, she hasn't been herself recently and it all started when YOU shook her hand!" I said, hoping that she can fix it. I was so determined to help my Mother. "And you expect me to help you?" She yelled. "Yes please." My Father asked politely.
"You'll soon find out how to help the one,
Who you treasure and love
But it'll be a difficult journey and might be long,
So get ready for it when it comes
It will not be expected,
And you will need to be protected.
But as your heart is good
You will battle finding food.
But on your quest it will be,
When you find the Tort tree
Its juices will help your mom
But all this will only happen if you find Zom" Miss Rein chanted. Then in a blink of an eye she was gone! It seemed like she was a witch...
