The Poison
This was a poem written when I finally got over this guy, but then had to worry about the new "poison". The cutting "addiction."
As the poison leaves
I feel alive
As the poison leaves
My body thrives
As the poison leaves
My head starts clearing
But as the poison leaves
My eyes begin tearing
For now I have a
New poison to worry about
An even worse toxin
That fills me with doubt
As the poison seeps in
I start to grow ill
As the poison seeps in
I begin a new hill
As the poison seeps in
My defenses weaken
As the poison seeps in
I've lost my beacon
Now I'm filled with toxin
I'll never be complete
Rapidly fading
As my energy depletes
I feel alive
As the poison leaves
My body thrives
As the poison leaves
My head starts clearing
But as the poison leaves
My eyes begin tearing
For now I have a
New poison to worry about
An even worse toxin
That fills me with doubt
As the poison seeps in
I start to grow ill
As the poison seeps in
I begin a new hill
As the poison seeps in
My defenses weaken
As the poison seeps in
I've lost my beacon
Now I'm filled with toxin
I'll never be complete
Rapidly fading
As my energy depletes
