The Painful Story Of Life
This poem makes you think deeply. I'm guessing that most people probably won't understand it, so if you don't please ask me and I will try my best to explain it. (P.S- This poem is supposed to be just one long stanza so if it does break up into separate stanzas please read it as one)
You are a book,
Just a book,
Crippled and torn at the pages,
Inside there is a story,
An oh so boring story,
As life passes through the ages,
Devious words,
They've turned so cold,
As life breaks down,
Do you fall?
Remember that chapter,
Such an unsuspected chapter,
The one that is written out in bold,
Your frozen heart,
With no such ice,
Sucked into a venomous trance,
That heart made of glass,
You visualize the cracks,
He runs,
Do you give him another chance?
The pages are ripped,
So memories begin to fade,
Your cover weak and torn,
If you could have another book,
Would you trade?
It's coming now,
To your last few pages,
Wishing your heart would mend,
Considering possible options,
But how would you want it to be,
The end?
Just a book,
Crippled and torn at the pages,
Inside there is a story,
An oh so boring story,
As life passes through the ages,
Devious words,
They've turned so cold,
As life breaks down,
Do you fall?
Remember that chapter,
Such an unsuspected chapter,
The one that is written out in bold,
Your frozen heart,
With no such ice,
Sucked into a venomous trance,
That heart made of glass,
You visualize the cracks,
He runs,
Do you give him another chance?
The pages are ripped,
So memories begin to fade,
Your cover weak and torn,
If you could have another book,
Would you trade?
It's coming now,
To your last few pages,
Wishing your heart would mend,
Considering possible options,
But how would you want it to be,
The end?
