The Origin Of Man

Recently I have studied different conceptions of the world seen by some people. There are many people out there that don’t know anything about God. To bad, God revealed Himself right in front of their eyes and they are so blind; they don’t see that all of nature cries out loud: "God exists! He created me, and He created you!"

Also, unfortunately, there are people that heard about God but they decided to reject Him. They have no room for God in their explanation of the world.

The secular humanists believe that man evolved in billions of years and he is still in the process of evolving. For them, nothing is above matter. Why not? Just because their philosophy says that if something cannot be explained by science therefore, doesn’t exist. Can God be proved? No. Therefore, He doesn’t exist. They went so far with their thinking that they reached the conclusion that computers will in few years be smarter than people; that is a proof of evolution.

The Marxist/Leninists again claim that God doesn’t exist just because He cannot be seen. They explain man as being the result of the dialectical materialism, which, in a few words, is a process in which a starting point [Being] is negated [non-Being], thereby setting up a second position opposed to it. This second position is in turn negated, by negation of the negation, so as to reach a third position representing a synthesis.

This third position is above the other two, so it evolved. As an example, the poor fighting against the rich; the result of that will be a better society, much more evolved than the poor and rich together.

A third group, called the cosmic humanists, believes that nothing has a beginning, but everything existed forever. They use the example of a ocean, and if you take a glass of water from that ocean, you just created something new, but that water existed before, just not in that shape. They say that men existed in an "ocean-like" substance. Being humans doesn’t mean we are created, as Augustine claimed, but we were just taken away in other shapes. They say we are God; everything is God. We are God, because we were in the same substance with Him, Him being the "ocean".

Now, in this age we are exposed to many beliefs, some funny ones, some serious, some that don’t even pay a penny, some that are the result of long studies, but the most important is the one that makes everything logical, let’s say. If you see a plain flying, will you ever think that plane wasn’t made by anybody. On the other hand, the house you live in isn’t that just hard to believe, maybe even stupid, that nobody projected it? Imagine that some believe that this Universe, this perfect order came to this point after an explosion? Explosions provoke chaos, not order. For Christianity the most dangerous one is the cosmic humanism, manifested through the New Age movement, pantheism.

We need to know what we believe. We need to read, to study, to be able to answer any question concerning our faith. Ninjas used to say that in order to have victory, you need to know your enemy; we can apply that in Christianity.

But, were does man coming from? What are his origins?
I believe that the best and most credible explanation stands in the Word of God. Christianity has the only reliable explanations concerning life, man, and God.

Because man exists, we know he has an origin, a start, a beginning. Which one, though? Before answering let me just tell you that understanding our origins affects the way we live. Bible says that God created man. Genesis 1:26-27: "And God said: Let us make a man in our image [here is Trinity, God the Father speaking with God the Son and God the Holy Spirit], after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them" Our origins are in God’s mind. He planned us, He made us, He has a plan for each one‘s life.

I believe it is obvious we need to trust God, and to believe what He said in His Word. I think you need more faith if you want to believe in an evolutionist point of view.
