The Open Field and the Rain
This is a poem by Ayush Bothra.........a great nature lover.
From the bronzey soft sky
Jugful and jugful of pure liquid fire
Triples over and spills down,
And is gone..
The open field and the rain came on
With thunder and lightning upon
The field looked magnificent
With the rain coming on and on
How magical is the sky
That it never lets the clouds dry
But we long for the little drops
Seeing the clouds passing by
The heavy rain perforated the land
And the toads and frogs
Are seen playing all over the sand
All happy and glad.
Jugful and jugful of pure liquid fire
Triples over and spills down,
And is gone..
The open field and the rain came on
With thunder and lightning upon
The field looked magnificent
With the rain coming on and on
How magical is the sky
That it never lets the clouds dry
But we long for the little drops
Seeing the clouds passing by
The heavy rain perforated the land
And the toads and frogs
Are seen playing all over the sand
All happy and glad.
