The Only One For Me Chapter one

I was running through the woods. I felt the tree branches smacking me in the face as I ran. I didn’t know what I was running from, but I knew I had to get away from it. There were twigs snapping behind me getting louder as it got closer. All of a sudden it stopped. There were no more sounds. All I could hear was the wind in the tree tops. I stopped running to catch my breath. I kept looking all around scared to death of whatever it was trying to get me. I screamed loudly and turned around to run as the figure appeared in front of me. I snapped up in bed with sweat rolling down my head and the sheets tangled around my body.
"5:40 already. Mid as well get up and take a shower." Jessie said out loud to herself.

After Jessie got out of the shower and got dressed she drank a slim fast and did her hair. She was still kind of in shock from her nightmare. "I’ll just walk to school early. That might cool me off." She said to herself. She walked back to her parent’s room told them she was leaving and that she loved them. Then she walked out locking the door behind her.
As Jessie walked to school she felt like someone was following her. So she quickened her pace. SNAP! She heard twigs break behind her and felt a hand land on her shoulder. "AHHHHHH!" She screamed as a hand covered her mouth. "Shh it’s ok Jessie. It is me Michael." He said as he let go of her mouth.

"You scared the s**t out of me Michael." She said as she turned around to face him. "I’m sorry for scaring you. Mind telling me why you are so tense?" He asked staring at her beautiful green eyes. "Its just the nightmare I had of a guy chasing me through the woods. I woke up this morning screaming. I’m just so scared now." Jessie said as she started sobbing. "Aww Jessie I’m sorry to hear about that. I’ll protect you. I won’t let you get hurt I promise." He said as he grabbed her in a hug and let her cry against his chest. When she stopped crying she said, "We should get going before we are late for school." "Yeah I guess you’re right. Let’s go." He said as he took her hand and they started walking. "Michael I’m so glad that we are best friends." Jessie said as they walked. "Yeah…. Me too." Michael said with a low sigh.

When they arrived at school they ended up having every class together but one. Last block. They ate lunch together also. By the time last block came Jessie was tired of school and now her best friend Michael wasn’t in her class. Jessie went straight to the last seat in the last row and sat down. She put her head down on her arms and closed her eyes. Only until someone stood over her and sternly said, "You’re in my seat!"
