The Night Wish - Chapter Two (Part Two)
Who is coming to kill Alora?
Alora's View
The darkness had seeped into everything. It had trickled into my vision, staining it with black nothingness. I felt the darkness caressing my body, imagining the inky black tendrils entwining around me, trapping me. What was the point of struggling against it? It had taken away the indescribable pain of death. But...wait...I felt it begin to slowly seep into my mind, erasing the memories I had spent my lifetime making. I couldn't forget Tobias...had to remember why I was doing this...I had to...
In a searing, white-hot flash of blinding light, my vision was restored. Fascinated, I watched my memories slip away and join the all-consuming nothingness that surrounded me. They floated away, a blur of colors and reoccurring faces- one face in particular. It was handsome, with chiseled cheekbones and short brown hair that had a soft curl to it. Its piercing green eyes seemed to bore into my very soul. I knew that face...

Tobias's View
I was looking into the face of a monster. Slamming my fist into the mirror, I watched the shards of glass fall to the uneven wooden floor.
Hey, the voiced hissed, I was enjoying the view.
"Shut up," I muttered ashamed of how that voice plagued my life, "you ugly witc-"
Silence, the voice commanded suddenly, do you hear that?
At first, I had no idea what I was supposed to be hearing but listening intently, I heard it: the undeniable sound of the occasional crunch of a twig being broken underfoot. They were here.
Quickly shoving supplies into my worn leather bag and slinging it over my shoulder, I ran over to where Alora lay unconscious and lifted her up.
No, you fool! We want them to have her, this is what we planned.
"No...I can't..." I stuttered looking at her innocent face. She knew nothing of what was about to happen. I can't just hand her over to the enemy. The people who want her dead.
Idiot, you forget she is also one of them and therefore she will not be harmed.
I gazed at Alora's serene face, soaking up her beauty and ran my fingers through her auburn hair. Even though she had to forget about me I couldn't ever forget her. Setting her back on the table, I whispered into her ear.
"You will never be alone; I will always be there- protecting you in the shadows." Walking towards the door, I looked back for one last glance at Alora and the old cabin that had hid us.
