The Much Awaited Paranormal Activity 2 Released

Director Tod Williams has given complete justice to the first installment of the psychological thriller Paranormal Activity. The Paranormal Activity first part directed by Oren Peli was released in 2007. The film grossed nearly $194 million worldwide. The film was critically acclaimed all over. The profits that the film gained were comparatively very high for small budget flick. As for the second part the movie got a huge opening of $41.5 million for this weekend.

The story of Paranormal Activity 2 is actually a prequel to the first part. The most interesting part of the paranormal franchise is the format of film-making which gives the spine chilling experience and leaves you in a state of mind that believes the story that you just witnessed is a true story.

For those who have not seen the first part Katie and Micah were the main characters. In the second part, Katie's sister Kristi who was also seen in the first part is seen in a similar kind of situation. The story revolves around Kristi, her husband and her one year old child. The horrendous scenes shot showing object moving and falling because of some demonic presence and slamming of door will surely scare the hell out of you. Paranormal Activity 2 has some fine special effects which the first movie would not have afforded.

The movie carries some cliché like the overly excited girl and a non-believing guy who believes her, when it's too late, but again the movie has more factors that will keep you hooked to your chair till the end, all thanks to director Tod William's effort.
