The Missing Friend

The club was bumping and the two friends were having fun but when it's time to leave and Rashel is wasted Akemi is forced to deal with her drunk best friend and the slippery roads. The dark forest hides many creatures but which one is responsible for the disappearance? Or is it even a creature!? This is a short story. not to be continued. It's supposed to end like that.
"Come on let's go."
Akemi grabbed Rashel by her fuzzy cuffs and began to drag her through the club.
"But we just got here." Rashel said drunkenly stumbling over two couples dancing.
Akemi sighed as Rashel stumbled into her.
"We got here five hours ago Ash." Akemi buttoned up her coat then Rashel's and then urged the huge black doors open.
The cold Canadian air assaulted the two best friends as they exited the warm, active club.
The music began to fade away and soon became a low thumping sound as they approached Akemi's Chevy.

Akemi strapped Rashel in and then thumped her hood as she got in the driver's seat.
"Can you put the heater on babe." Rashel asked as she curled into a ball and nestled her head on the cold window.
As they pulled out of the small clubs parking lot a black SUV almost clipped her and she rammed her horn.
"Mother Fuckers!"
Rashel gasped. "Kemi don't speak like that."
Akemi looked both ways and pulled out.
Fricking psycho drivers these days.

The moon shone brightly and gave Akemi a little help seeing on the dark isolated highway.
It made it worse this particular day because they had to pass a deeply wooded forest that didn't end for an hour.
What we do for good party places. Well, when you're twenty you don't care!
She smiled as she heard Rashel start to snore.
The road was drenched in wet slushy ice and Akemi thanked the lord she just got new tires.
Ten minutes later they were just entering the beginning of the forest when Akemi heard a wolf howl.

She jumped and tried to spy the critter in the dense undergrowth.
Rashel was still soundly sleeping probably dreaming of the hot guy she was hitting on at the..
HOLY MOTHER OF GOD! Akemi swerved as she spotted a doe shoot out of the woods and into the street.
She heard a thump and her heart plummeted. She pulled the car over to the side of the road and unbuckled herself. Please lord don't let me have hit the poor thing....
She checked on Rashel before opening her door and running back to where she swerved.
The screech marks were there for anyone to see but there was no sign of the doe anymore.
Akemi exhaled and heard a wolf howl again. She shivered and walked back to her truck.
"Rashel you would not believe"
Akemi turned and saw....Nothing. Rashel was gone.
