The Memory

Some healing thoughts in words...
So confusing
So misunderstood
How could I love you so much
When you were up to no good

It’s not fair
I should not still care
But when I think about my future
I can’t imagine you not there

Does this make me weak, stupid and dumb
Have I fallen for the wrong one
Or was this just a mistake on your part
Some cosmic joke at the expense of my heart

Whatever it was I can’t take anymore
To have my heart ripped out and stomped on the floor
Please be true to your word and faithful to me
Be strong, fight your demons, fulfill your promise, I’m worth it-you’ll see.
