The Manic Butterfly

Of guava jelly dreams in glass jars and women who were born to fly
Black on white
Cannot satisfy
Guava jelly dreams
Of a girl
Trapped in
Glass jar screwed tight
Silently sentenced
For her loud desire

Glow worm filled
Her universe
Revealed only at night
And a zillion sunset pink daytime skies
Slashed with slushy, slurpy orange
Is where she pretends
She flies

The otherwise dark
Manic butterfly
Who writes
Every time
You do not read
Between the lies
Her debilitated subterfuge
And fractured inside
