The Magical Cupcake

The cupcake all started when I, Emily Ray Sadarsky, found a cupcake mix while cleaning out the cupboards of the family kitchen with my mother. The box said "Magical Cupcakes!" and under the name had a picture of a magical looking cupcake, with sparkles, but it couldn’t trick me, an 11-year-old girl, cause I was too smart to fall into this junky looking "magical cupcake". It did look pretty yummy, so I told my mother I would make the cupcakes.

When we finished cleaning up, mom left me alone to do the "finding the ingredients" and mix them into the batter provided. Weird, I thought to myself, looking at the ingredients. They had the plain ones, like sugar, eggs, water, oil and all that good stuff but the ones I was surprised at was these: 3 tulips, 1 cup of Japanese cherry blossoms, 1 diced tree root, and 1 foot of vines. Holy Crap! Can you really out these in cupcakes? Sheesh! Talk about whoever made this recipe up with bad ingredients still had a nice appetite to eat it! Still, as I read the unusual ingredients aloud, the things appeared magically. Then I tried saying sugar. All of a sudden, the cupboard opened and out can the jar of sugar. Magically floating to the counter. Amazing, I thought, but I just kept on going like nothing happened.

When the batter was finished and was poured into the cupcake holders and placed into the oven, I was on the couch, watching TV. "Another 15 minutes and 5 minutes to cool before putting on the icing," I said aloud.

Plank! I dropped the cupcakes onto the counter. So hot! I let them have at least 10 minutes to cool as I prepared the special icing that was made of the interesting ingredients.

After I finished spreading the icing onto the cupcakes, I was tired out, even though it wasn’t so bad but the icing said to try to cut the tree roots. I mean, who could do that?! As I walked passed the cupcakes, really tires, I didn’t notice that they were…
