The love of Dancing

With the rustle of their skirts. Her feet ache with pain but she knows the show must go on. Every girl can feel their heart racing. At any moment her heart will burst out of her corset. We all know we must dance until we have earned our keep and the boss’s trust, Even then we must still keep dancing. We should always have a smile upon our face never show the noisy and drunken crowd that we are in pain. We must show grace. At times we may feel dizzy and feel as if we are going to fall; we cannot fall for there might be time for that later.

We all have our stories and reasons. We all have one thing in common. Pain. For it’s a different pain that we feel. It is carried with us every where we go, It’s a different pain from the one we suffer when we are on stage. It’s a pain that cannot be bandaged up, it isn’t a pain that can be healed either.

To cover up our pain the boss all gave us a name. The name is a symbol for hope for some girls for other’s it is a bandage to cover the wound.
