The Lost Princess: Chapter Two

Lila thought she was just a normal girl, but one day she comes to find out that she is actually a lost princess from another realm!
When I awoke, I found myself alone in a brightly lit room that smelled like sunflowers. The walls were a pale gold color and the sun steamed through the window, hitting the plush bed I was lying in. That was when I remembered everything that had happened. My mother, the men, the pain...

I began to panic, having no idea where I was. I jumped out of the bed and noticed that my school uniform had been replaced with a somewhat sheer nightgown that went down mid-thigh.

Ohh, how embarrassing... I thought. I was very self-conscious about my body. I wasn't fat or anything, but I had a little extra weight on me. I was worried about someone having seen me naked and hoping that it wasn't one of the men who took me from my house.

Trying to calm myself down, I quickly walked towards the double doors that I assumed led out of the room. They were etched with beautiful gold designs that matched the room. I opened one of them, and poked my head out. Luckily, no one was out there. I warily stepped out into the hall. My bare feet made contract with the cold marble floor and I yelped. I immediately cursed myself for doing so. You have to stay quiet; Lila or someone will find you!

Regaining my composure-or as much composure one could have in this situation, I turned left and started walking. I must be in a palace or something...wait, that man called me Princess. Maybe...

I was so wrapped up in my thoughts that I didn't realize there was another woman in the hall with me. She was painfully beautiful. Her hair was in glowing blonde waves that cascaded down her back. Her face was soft looking with high check bones and large almond shaped eyes that were the most beautiful shade of brown I had ever seen. Her body was full, luscious, and curvy.

I was so terribly ashamed to be standing next to this beautiful woman, so I looked down at the floor waiting for her to speak. After a moment of silence, I looked up and saw the woman doing the same thing. Confused, I opened my mouth so say something but again, she did the same. Looking closer I realized that I was looking in a mirror and that....that woman was me! Oh...my...shit!

I started to breathe heavily and I felt very weak. The pain I had felt before was gone, but I was starving. I wonder how long it's been since I've eaten.

When I first saw her, I was struck with her awe inspiring beauty. She stood in the middle of the hallway, blonde waves falling down her back, legs exposed, looking at herself in the mirror. She seemed...confused and I couldn't understand why. As I watched her, she began to breathe heavier and shake slightly. She took one hand and placed it on her stomach.

I walked slowly towards her, but she didn't look up at me. She seemed so wrapped up in her own world, a world that I knew I wanted to be a part of. Where did that thought come from? I don't even know this woman.

When I reached her, she looked almost ready to collapse. I cleared my throat and she jumped, apparently startled. The expression she wore pained me; she looked afraid. Of what she was afraid I did not know. She was perfectly safe in the Castle.

"Hello," I said nervously.

"H-hi?" She answered me, breathlessly.

"Uhh, are you alright?"

She was quiet for a moment, as if thinking of how to respond.

"I...I don't know."

"Well, who are you? Perhaps I could help." Oh, how I desperately wanted to help her. Stop thinking like that! You. Don't. Know. Her. She could be married for all you know.

She didn't answer my question. She just looked at me with her big brown eyes. She began shaking harder and let out a little whimper. She was in pain and her pain, hurt me as well. The hell? I had to get myself under control.

I asked her again if she was alright and she fainted. I caught her before she hit the floor.

"I'm Lila," she whispered before passing out in my arms.

Crap..

I had to find Bridgette. She was the Head House Maid and over saw everything that went on in the palace. She what know who this woman was and what to do with her.

I wondered where I would find Bridgette. She was always very busy. Just as I was about to pass a door that led into one of the bedrooms, it flew open and Bridgette came rushing out in a panic, muttering to herself.

She stopped when she laid eyes on me.

"Oh thank heavens! You found her. Bring her in here," She directed me.

I carried Lila into the room and placed her gently on the bed.

"Who is this woman?" I asked Bridgette.

"Woman? Oh no, sir. This is our Princess."

"Princess? Princess Alana does not look like this."

Bridgette laughed as she busied herself around the woman in the bed.

"Did you hit your head, young Prince?" She laughed again, tucking Lila under the blankets.

I didn't answer and Bridgette said nothing more. I was beginning to get frustrated.

"This is not the Princess Alana, who is this woman Bridgette?!"

She sighed, unfazed by my anger. I had known her since I was a little boy and she knew not to be afraid of me.

"She is Verona." She said quietly.

I was stunned. This was the Lost Princess. Everyone in the kingdom knew about her. She had been kidnapped during the War of the Lands sixteen years ago when she and her twin sister were just four months old. Wait..sixteen.

"Bridgette, how old is she?"

"I would think about sixteen years old now."

She looked much older.

"But she has already made the transformation; she must be at least twenty!"

"Yes, well...it is a bit of a mystery, isn't it? Bartolomey says it may have something to do with growing up outside the dimension."

"What do you mean she has been outside the dimension? She grew up outside Jeurosia?"

Bridgette paled.

"Don't you worry your head about it, Jude."

This meant she wasn't supposed to tell me. She probably had told me too much already. I was going to try to pump her for more information, when the Princess stirred.

"Oh my, she's coming to! Jude, stay here with her while I go find the King and Queen! Ooh!"

Bridgette was so easily excited. She exited the room and I walked over to the bed and placed my hand on her check. She leaned her head into my palm and I smiled. She let out a soft sigh and opened her eyes, peering at me.

Okay! That was Chapter Two. I hope you guys liked it. It was kinda long, but that's not always a bad thing now is it?
I hope that no one was confused by the Point of View switch. I didn't want to actually put that it was switching form Lila (Verona's) Point of View to Jude's. If you guys were confused let me know and I'll fix it. :)

Leesha: You never know. It could happen to you. :) It happened to Lila. Haha.
Diana: Thanks! I hope this chapter doesn't disappoint!
