{~Epilogue...~}
"Mom!" An anxious voice shouted. "Mom! Mum! Mommy! Mummy!" I groaned and rolled over. Alumit, grinning like crazy, jumped on the bed and started jumping up and down. "COME ON, MOMMY! IT'S CHRISTMAS!" He jumped up and down for a while before another pair of feet joined in.

Kendall reached out to their ankles and made them fall over on the bed. The two kids giggled and hit Kendall. "Would you two stop that? It isn't even dawn yet?" Kendall laughed.

Two small hands pried the top of the blanket of my head. I saw a pair of dark gold eyes peering at me curiously. "Hi, Mommy," Belle said shyly. She was only about six, a year younger than Alumit. "Mommy, it's Christmas. Wiw you pwease wake up? Pwetty pwease?" She blinked a bit, smiling.

I sighed and sat up so I could kiss her on the forehead. "Sure, sweety. Let Mommy have some coffee, though. Okay?"

Belle beamed, nodded, and tried to get her Father out of bed. Alumit was trying to drag Kendall, but coming with no luck. Kendall laughed and picked both of them off, then carried them into the living room.

I smiled and got up, stretching. I managed to put on a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt before Belle came in to get me out. She handed me a cup of coffee, then literally pulled me out. They were both extremely strong, but they didn't seem to drink blood. That was odd.

Belle had gotten my weird hair, hers was a mixture of bleach blond and black, only reaching her shoulders. Many people asked me why I dyed her hair, but it was natural. Go figure. Her eyes were golden, literally, like liquid gold. Very pretty and sparkly.

Alumit still had his shaggy, yet straight, black hair. His eyes were still citrus orange,but his skin was paler and fairer.

They were both... human, almost. They had pulses and didn't drink blood, but they were stronger than the average human and a bit distant. They didn't talk much, or at least Belle didn't. Alumit was loud and proud. He wasn't a shy one like Belle.

Belle grabbed my hand and led me to the living room, where Alumit was already tearing apart the wrapping paper of boxes. Kendall gave me an apologetic smile. "I tried to stop him. He's an unstoppable force of nature." I laughed and sat by him while Belle unwrapped the presents as quietly as possible.

Belle looked at the Nintendo DS game and smiled at me. She came over to kiss me on the cheek. "Thank you, Mommy," she murmured. Then she returned to opening gifts.

Emily, the Amcian we met the day of the battle, said that the Amcians--Alumit and Belle--were actually a lost race of vampire, many have tried to kill them for blood. Apparently they taste like human and vampire, not that I would know. So, things add up together, and Alumit and Belle are perfectly natural and are like any other vampire, so to speak.

Apparently the reason why the other couple were killed was because of roaming starving vampires, who couldn't control themselves when they came to the family. The whole "hater" thing was just a rumor.

So, yeah. There went all the drama out of my life. About time.

But right now, I was just being a Mom.

Alumit started to show off his new video game to his younger sister. She grabbed a fistful of hair and started to take the game out of his hand. They ended up fighting with Kendall breaking it up. They tackled him.

I chuckled and helped get the kids off my husband. Yeah, being a Mom's going to be easy. Sarcasm.
