The Little Girl's Song

A poor little girl lost her dad in an accident one year ago. Listen to what she says...
The Little Girl's Song
A little girl had lost her dad
One month ago today
It looks like she’s happy but she still is sad
She just shows it a different way

Sent to sleep she climbs the stairs
Eager to enter her bed
But in her room she knelt down hugging her bears
And brought her hands to her head

Her eyes were closed tight as she started to sing
Sounds forming words, pure as day
Her mother peeked in eyes filled with tears
This is what the little girl did say:

‘The flowers they are pretty, bright reds and blues
The birds and the buzzing bees fly
The trees all have leaves; but all I see is you
I see your face up in the sky

I know you are watching and keeping me safe
But daddy I miss you so much
The way you looked at me with your eyes full with grace
I miss all your hugs and your touch’

Her mother walked in and hugged her lightly
Said ‘Honey I love you a lot,
Daddy’s right here beside you and always will be
Just remember what you have been taught’

‘Love always, live fully and never forget
I love you way more then the sun.’
The last line finished off as a mom and babe duet
‘I’m with you always times a zillion and one.’
