The Legitimacy of Work at Home

Is it a job or a career? When you search for work at home on the Internet, what are you really looking for?
As I talk to people day to day, I find that most people want the same thing; they want to work from their own home. However, many people don’t quite realize what that really means. People believe that there are companies legitimately hiring telecommuters; people to work for their company at home. While those companies do exist, finding them is like finding a needle in a haystack. Thus being the reason there are so many scams out there preying on people’s emotions and desperation to earn an extra income in this economy.

The majority of the "Work at Home" opportunities on the Internet actually offer big promise, take people’s money, and they never deliver on their promise. Because so many are tired of being scammed, there are a set of rules about "Work at Home" jobs. You know them and you heard them. One of the rules say "never pay money up front to work for a company". This is true. If you’re looking for a job, you should never pay a company to work for them. After all, you wouldn’t go apply for a job a Burger King or McDonald’s, get hired and pay them a hiring fee, would you?

While you wouldn’t pay someone to work for them, if you think in terms of starting your own career, you might consider there would definitely be a start up fee. A "business" is different than a job. Every home based business would have a start up fee. It would be no different than opening up a McDonald’s franchise, for example. There would definitely be a cost involved. If you are starting your own business or career, you should expect to pay some type of fee. You would determine how much of a fee is an appropriate fee based on the type of career it is.

The difference between a job and a career is with a job you are paid on a W2 and you are considered an employee. As an employee, you are given a schedule and told when to report to work, lunch, and go home on a regular basis. You are working for someone else, helping them to build their dream! With a business or career you are paid on a 1099 form, for tax purposes, and you are considered an Independent Contractor or Broker. At tax time, by law, you can use your business as a tax deduction.

You can "will" and "sell" your business. You are the owner, operator, the CEO, the President! You are able to work when you want. The hours are flexible, you determine when you work and how much money you want to make. You actually own the business and you can will it to your spouse or children. Usually there is residual income associated with a business or career. This residual income can be paid to you for years to come and this is what you would be willing or selling; the business with the income and all things associated with it.

When looking for work at home, be clear of what you’re looking to find. Are you looking for a job or a business/career? In most cases, to run a business from home it requires one to be self-motivated, have leadership skills and have a strong determination to succeed. Running your own business will require some work for it to be successful. If you’re not willing to put in the amount of time and work to be successful, then perhaps going into business for yourself is not for you.

I am in the business of helping people to work from home. I help people to start their own career, go into business for themselves. Starting your own career will give you the financial freedom you deserve. It’s very lucrative and rewarding in many ways. I can educate you on differences between a job and a career, but I can’t help you to find a job on the internet to work from home. I can only help you to start your own career, very affordably. Once you determine whether you want a job or a business, then you should look at the opportunity closely. Do your research. Be sure you look at the longevity of the business, meaning how long it’s been around, look at it personally to be sure it’s something you have a passion for. Be sure you will get the adequate training and that the company does deliver on their promise.

If you have a desire to start your own career, work at home, and you wish to look at a legitimate company, that does deliver on their promise, here is a great career opportunity that can have you earning a six-figure income within 2-4 years.
A Perfect Career Opportunity
