The Last Victim Chapter Eight

It was the cold attic, he was tied in the same position. The sound of David's heavy footsteps approaching slowly and confidently. He leaned on me and smiled scornfully, ''Did you really think you will get rid of me that easy?''

I struggled to free myself from the chains, my right hand broke free and I punched David in the face with all the strength I've got. The voices of many people crowded in head.

''Niko stop it!''

''Let me kill him let kill him.'' I screamed.

''Leave him alone!''

''Sir, would you please go out.''

''I'm not moving.''

''Sir you have to go out or I will have to call the security.''

''The wound is bleeding.''

There were people restraining me to the bed and I was struggling and struggling, I felt pain in my stomach and blood was gushing out. I opened my eyes and I found two security guards forcing Dad out of the room.

''Dad! Dad!'' I yelled.

He tried to reach me but the stupid guards pushed him out. I don't know why all these people restrained me, it made furious. I wanted to free myself from their clasps but they were too many. It was too noisy, too noisy.

''A sedative''

''Suturing the wound.''

''Blood pressure….pulse…wound….a syringe…inject him''

''Go..quickly.''

''STOOOOOOOOOOOOOP.'' I screamed and bit the arm of the doctor above me. I felt a needle prick in my thigh and in few seconds I was asleep again.

I opened my eyes slowly, the light hurt my eyes so I closed them and reopened them again. Roderigo was sitting on the chair beside the bed and my father was sleeping on the sofa and snoring loudly. I tried to move but my stomach hurt so much so I rested back again.

''Welcome back.'' He smiled briskly.

''What happened to your nose?'' I asked.

''Nothing, a fellow punched me in the face.''

I blushed and said ''I'm sorry.''

He held my hand and said sincerely ''I am sorry, I will never forgive myself.''

''Don't be Rod.''

''It all happened because of me'' He said with tears glistening in his eyes.

''What happened?'' I asked, bewildered.

''The kidnapping…everything…it was all my fault.'' He continued.

''Kidnapping?'' I was more bewildered.

He looked at me with serious concern and said ''Niko, why do you think you are here?''

''I don't know.'' I said, looking blank.

''You don't remember?''

''No, I remember nothing.''
