The Last Victim Chapter 26

''Where are you going?'' Rouvas inquired.
''I'm going out with friends.'' Niko replied.
''Where?''
''We haven't decided yet.'' Niko said, annoyed.
''Patrick is going with you.'' Rouvas said firmly.
''No way!'' Niko protested.
''It's out of discussion.'' Rouvas confirmed.
''I said no! I'm going out and I'm going alone!'' he said it and rushed to the door. Rouvas stood in his way and said ''What's wrong with you huh? You forgot that there is a crazy killer waiting for you outside?''
''No I didn't forget but I can't live like this!'' Niko yelled.
''You will not live like this, this is just temporary till they catch him.'' Rouvas said softly.
''They could've caught him if you didn't refuse their plan.''
''And expose you to danger? In their dreams!''
''I need to go now they are waiting for me, where are the car keys?'' he said searching in the drawer.
''They are with Patrick.'' Rouvas declared.
''What?! Why?'' Niko yelled.
''He is going to drive.'' Rouvas said in a matter of fact way.
Niko stared at him unbelievably as he continued ''The side effects of the antidepressants you take include blurred vision, nausea and headaches, you will not be able to drive.''
''I can't believe you are doing this!'' Niko murmured.
''It's all for your own good.''
Niko was going to say something but he stopped and stomped off.

It was wild in the nightclub, people dancing, drinking and socializing. The lights came from blue neon and it was dim. He had difficulty finding his friends in the beginning till he found then sitting on a big red heart shaped couch in the corner drinking beer.
''You wait outside.'' Niko ordered Patrick.
''The orders are to stick with you everywhere.''
Niko grunted and clinched his fist in anger before he turns and walks and turns to his friends.
''Hey guys, having fun?''
''We are here since 8 o'clock why you are so late?''
''Patrick was driving the car like a tortoise.'' Niko said cynically.
''Who is Patrick?'' Akmal asked.
Niko pointed to Patrick who was standing behind him and said ''This truck.''
''Is he a new friend?'' Nathan said laughingly.
''He is my ''bodyguard''.''
''Yeah, I remember I saw him in the hospital.'' Martin said loudly.
''I want to dance why are you sitting like old men?'' Niko asked.
''Spread your wings and fly!'' Martin said winking at Niko.
Niko walked to a girl sitting alone, he grabbed a chair and sat on the table ''Hey missy.''
''Hi.'' She said.
"'Niko Rouvas.'' He said extending his hand.
She shook his hand and said ''Florence Blair.''
He leaned towards her and said ''Will Princess Florence give me the honor of dancing with her Highness?''
She laughed out loud exposing her white teeth and said ''Sure! She will.''
He stood up and took her hands in his and they surrendered to the music.
She was a beautiful brunette, she had long dark curly hair and sparkling brown eyes. Florence had an athletic body that shows that she is exercising a lot.
They danced for about half an hour and went back to the table.
''Wow! You are amazing!'' she said.
''You too are wonderful.''
Hr ordered soft drinks while she was in the bathroom fixing her make up. When she came back he handed her the drink and said ''Come, let me introduce you to my friends.''
''Are they here?''
''Yeah.''
He took her hand and they went to them.
''Hey guys, this is Florence.''
They said hi and nodded and she nodded back with a smile.
''These are my friends since kindergarten.'' He said.
''That's nice.'' She commented.
They chatted and danced for hours. She gave him her phone number before she left.
On the way home, Niko was very exhausted. It was 3:00 am and the streets were almost empty. His legs hardly carried him to his room. The house was quiet as his father and the servants were immersed in a deep sleep. He fell asleep as soon as his head touched the pillow.
