The Last Kiss - Chapter Two
Enjoy and Comment!

And the picture is what I think Darien would look like, except in a little more fancier clothing. :D
Anyway, Enjoy,

------------
After about twenty minutes of silence, besides a few remarks about how lovely the new pool looked, we all finished dinner. Darien and I left the table while Mr. and Mrs. Patire stayed to chat with the servers.
"So," I said, trying to start small talk, "uh, how old are you?" I hoped I didn't sound weird to be asking him how old he was.
"Why?"
"Because I figured if we will be living in the same house, I should at least know something about you," I replied quickly.
"I'm nineteen," he said.
I nodded. I wasn't sure if I should tell him how old I was, since he didn't ask, but I decided to anyway. "Very cool. I am eighteen, by the way."
We walked down a long, narrow hallway. Doors were on both sides of the hall. He opened the first door. "This is one of the guest rooms," he said as he leaned to the side so I could see the room.
"One of the guest rooms?" I asked quietly.
"Yes. We have more than one."
I nodded. How rich could someone get? "It is a beautiful room," I added with a smile.
He then shut the door and walked to the next guest room, and so on. Then at the end of the hallway, he put his hand on the door, but he didn't open it. "This is my dad's study. Don't go in there," he suggested.
After we looked at all the bedrooms, he showed me the inside pool, which they had just gotten fixed up a bit. The pool was perfect. They had a small path that led from the wall into the pool. Water would fall into the pool like a small waterfall. Along the edges were rocks that were perfectly placed.
"Do you swim often?" I asked him as I stilled admired the room.
He shrugged, "I guess. I come out here on dark evenings usually." Finally he was getting used to me, and not being so rude.
"Maybe I will join you one night." I smirked.
"Maybe," he repeated. "C'mon," he started to leave the room, "I will show you the basement."
We then headed down to the basement. Once again, it was beautiful. It had wood floors, unlike most basements, and light brown colored walls. A tan colored couch, with a matching chair, was against the walls on the left side of the room. In front of the cough was a large coffee table.
On the right side of the room were two doors that were both closed. Darien didn't show me the rooms, but he said one was a bathroom and the other was a bedroom that no one used.
And on the other sides were shelves of books and knickknacks. They were fun to look at.
After I looked at them, we left and continued on with the rest of the tour.

"Your house is beautiful," I said once the long tour was over.
"Too beautiful," he sighed.
"What's wrong with that?" I said confused.
"Nothing. It's just, I never get to be a normal kid. I never can do normal things." I didn't know how to reply, so I just nodded. "Just forget it," he said. I could tell he wasn't the type of person to drone on about his problems, so I just let it go.
"Okay," I said shyly.
"I'll walk you back to your bedroom," he said as he began walking.
"Thank you," I said with a smile. I realized how nice Darien really was. He tries to go for that tough attitude, but inside he is a nice person.
We walked up to my room and said our goodbyes for the night. "Sweet dreams," he said with a sneer. "See you in the morning."
"Can't wait," I said without realizing exactly what I was saying. "I mean, um-"
"Don't worry," he cut me off, "I can't wait either." He leaned in a kissed my cheek, almost like how a big brother would kiss his little baby sister. Then he turned to leave.
