The Kinetic Chronicles: Cyrokinesis (Chapter Two)
Eric Walker almost woke up late for the bus but his quick movements got him 8 minutes left to spare. He headed downstairs and finding that his parents are at work, but his older sister, Scarlett Walker, yelling at his dog, is taking care of him till his bus arrives. (My bad for taking long to write Chapter two... Comment on my story and please don't be harsh if it's a negative comment)

You know what's the best part about summer? Besides knowing I have an awesome power, the sleep. Oh man... it is not just sleep if you're snoozing off my bed. You feel the coziness of the sheets, plus the fluffiness of the pillow resting below your head, it's the most brilliant combination! But... there is one thing that not only annoy me but haunts me with its noise.. my alarm clock. Oh my god! It's hard to describe this horrible horn, the closest thing, I can tell you how it sounds is that imagine screaming, car siren, mechanical machinery noises, all the worst sounds you can think of, came together to form an ultimate union of ear ache, my alarm clock... On top of all that, it's my first day of school, and on my devil clock, it's exactly 7:14 A.M! My bus arrives in 17 minutes!
When I realized that I didn't even remember what I did next, it was a blur to me. I remember taking a quick bath, putting gel on my hair after I got dressed, grabbed my things for school, and headed downstairs, with 8 minutes left to spare. A new record.
On the way downstairs I heard a yell, my sister's yell to be exact. "Philip! You mangy old mutt! Don't sneak up on me like that! Once I heard that, I confronted her when I came in the kitchen. "Hey! Don't call him that, he doesn't know any better okay?" She turned to me with her face red like a tomato. "Well, since that thing likes you better, teach it to play dead already Eric, permanently." I cursed at her under my breath, so she wouldn't hear me while I was leading Philip to the backyard.
My sister hated dogs as you can tell because you're reading this. But I have no idea why is it because of that time when she was sleeping, Philip came in and peed on her bed? I don't know, but I also don't care. She shouldn't talk to him that way, not after what he's been through. I opened the glass door so Philip can walk around outside. I looked out to him, and it changed my expression. He's pretty old now, around 8 years old. He's a Bernese mountain dog, in case you're wondering.
Anyway, as I was looking at him walking around sniffing the ground, something caught my the eye in the forest. I couldn't describe it well, but it looked like a figure, a human figure. It disappeared before I got a good picture of it. I told myself It was nothing, I'm just seeing things. Yet in the back of mind, it did startle me a bit.
But something else startled me though, Scarlett's yelling. "Hey Eric! Your bus is here already. Don't you miss it, I won't drive you to school if you do!" "Alright! let me get my book-bag.. brat.." I grabbed my book-bag I left on the floor of the stairs and walked out to my bus on my way to North-wood Middle school..
