The Journey

In the midst of despair
My mind in disrepair
Too easy to give in
And let failure win.

Feel lost unto oneself
Like life put upon a shelf
Unsure where to turn
Or to my old ways can I return.

I stand at a fork in the road
One path I must choose
Unknown territories
The path to glory lies before me.

If only I choose the right path
But both paths are right
If I take the right attitude with me
All choices are mine alone to make.

For better or worse
I alone control my destiny
Each time I fall down
I stand up stronger.

Wiser for the lesson learned
Assured, I won’t make that mistake again
Happiness lies ahead
I’m willing to embrace.

To give my all in love and war
In the search
The unending search
For the One
The One I have been searching for all my life
The One to be named my wife.
