No one had thought much about the plane ride. I mean we've all been on a plane before so no one had any anxiety attacks. The plane was quiet. Of course it was seeing that there were only nine passengers aboard.

We were all in our teens and we all had the world against us. All of us were on our way to Africa. We were going to volunteer in a rule village to see if it will teach us a 'lesson' or so say our parole officers. I was not looking forward to this.

I tried taking my mind off the trip and looked out the window of the plane. We were above the ocean and all I could see were miles and miles of blue. I sighed and I stuck my head around the edge of my seat. My eyes took in the other eight passengers. In the seat behind me, there was Lexi Jameson, sixteen years old, the girl who liked to steal clothes and hair products from the mall.

I could see why she'd been in juvenile hall more than nine times. Next to her was Derrick Tucker, seventeen, the hot blond, blue eyed guy. He had such a baby face that none would have thought he loved stealing foreign cars from celebrities. Across from them were Patrick and Patricia, both fifteen, the fraternal twins. Or as the people from Dateline called them, "The cloned looters."

You could say they got whatever they needed by throwing a brick at a glass display at the deli and helping themselves. My eyes continued to wander until I made eye contact with Brody Vincent who was sitting by himself. Nobody really knew his story. We just all assumed that he'd done something horrible like the rest of us. I didn't know his age though. Brody's gaze was so intense that I had to look away before my eyes burned out.

I shook my head and looked at the girl coming out of the bathroom. It was Myra Vazquez, fifteen, she was pregnant. In fact, it was her second. She gave her first child up for adoption seeing that she even realized she couldn't be a good mother. Apparently, that didn't stop her from ending up with child again.

But whatever. I watched as she sat down next to Tony Aaronson, sixteen, her baby's dad. He was a complete womanizer and pothead. But I couldn't help smile as he caressed Myra's big belly. Behind the happy couple was Drake Bleaker, the youngest of all of us. He was twelve and since he was about to turn thirteen they'd let him on the trip.

Drake scratched his head and starting writing in the air with his finger. He was a tagger. If you ever want to see some of his work go to his middle school and you'll see it everywhere.

Finally there was me. Andrea Charlotte Murray, eighteen, the body seller as my parents call it. I was a prostitute. I was just so desperate to earn money to move out of the house. My parents just loved torturing me.

They would smack me around whenever they had the chance and not mention the piles of crack they stored under MY bed. It was always the same bullshit with them so this trip was one way to get away from them.

"Hey Andrea, mind if I sit?" I looked up to see Patricia. I nodded and she took the empty seat next to me.

"So who do you call dibs on? Derrick or Brody? I would say Tony but he's taken I guess and Drake's too young. And I don't care if you take Patrick."

She giggled and I smiled back. I was about to answer but the plane started to swerve and rumble. Lexi screamed and Tony held tight to Myra who was grabbing her belly.

Suddenly the door to the control room opened and Pilot Henry appeared.

"Everyone buckle up!" Pilot Henry started speaking into the radio but I could tell he had no signal. Patricia grabbed my hand and squeezed it. I shut my eyes as the plane dropped. My heart started racing and I expected myself to watch my life flash before my eyes.

But that didn't happen because the plane landed or crashed is more like it. Everyone bounced up and down and I hit my head a few times. But otherwise I was fine.

I managed to open my eyes and I was relieved to see everyone was okay. Patricia stood up quickly and made her over to Patrick. She threw her arms over him and they hugged fiercely. I guess that was the upside of having a twin onboard.

"Is anybody hurt?" Pilot Henry asked as he made his way up down the aisle, checking on everyone. Myra put her hand on her hip.

"WHAT DO YOU THINK? I'm pregnant and we just crashed! Do you think I'm okay?! Pinche menso!" I laughed because I had taken Spanish at school and she said the pilot was a fucking retard. Pilot Henry ignored her as he struggled to open the emergency exit.

After several tries he finally got it open and he stepped outside. Each of us slowly made our ways out of the plane too. When I stepped out I thought it was possibly the most beautiful place in the world.

It was an island with blue, crystal clear water in the ocean and soft white sand. The palm trees were as green as they could be and abundant with fruit. I felt relaxed just looking at the place.

"This place is so pretty!" Lexi said as she made her way to the water and stuck her feet in.

"It ain't going to be so pretty when you realize we're pretty much stranded."

Drake said as he threw a rock at a bird flying over head. He was right though. There were only miles of water, sand, and palm trees. Not another human in sight. It was pretty much obvious what our situation was. We were stranded.

"If we have to eat one of our own, can it be Myra? I mean she is double the meat."

Patrick laughed as he said that. Myra, disgusted, went over and kicked him in his junk. Patrick yelped and fell onto the sand. Patricia must have gotten angry because she went over and started cussing Myra out. Drake, who by the way was in love with Patricia, joined in with the cussing.

And of course Tony joined in to defend Myra. So by the looks of how everyone was getting along, this stranded thing was not going to be pleasant.
