The Hourglass
Jann(f) and Jann(m) before the war...[in a story o'mine] Comments please.
The sands of time fall ceaselessly
I crumble at the thought of the coming dawn
The sun rises slowly, illuminating the sky a crystal blue
The sleeping clouds wander without a clue.
The waves crash heavily on the shore
Night and day, like never before
My heart swells and skips a beat
As the little seagull in the sky would soar.
As the wind howls its own sorrow
As the trees rustle and toss about
Calm caresses from a phantom bore
So it seemed to be, to the nights before.
To the times when we were young and blissful
To the times where everything was ours
Where everything obeyed us
And the waters and the winds dared not touch us
To the times where the hourglass skipped hours...
I crumble at the thought of the coming dawn
The sun rises slowly, illuminating the sky a crystal blue
The sleeping clouds wander without a clue.
The waves crash heavily on the shore
Night and day, like never before
My heart swells and skips a beat
As the little seagull in the sky would soar.
As the wind howls its own sorrow
As the trees rustle and toss about
Calm caresses from a phantom bore
So it seemed to be, to the nights before.
To the times when we were young and blissful
To the times where everything was ours
Where everything obeyed us
And the waters and the winds dared not touch us
To the times where the hourglass skipped hours...
