The Girl of the Moon - Part Two - Trouble Inside
Thanks for all the nice comments on my book. all my siblings say "ugh.. go away" :) love my family and all the nice people out here. ok, so this is the second chapter. hope you like! Tom and the guys followed a girl and found a tunnel. keep reading! Picture of the creepy girl on the street,
"Whoa..." Rob said in an amazed tone.
"But it's impossible..." Alec said at the same time. I didn't say anything. Somehow, I knew that if I went through the tunnel, I would find the girl. I started toward the tunnel slowly, afraid it might collapse again.
Rob reached a hand out to stop me. "Dude, you don't know what could be in there."
I shook his hand off. "I just have a feeling that something's in there. Are you guys going to come?" I pointed to the opening.
They looked at each other, then sighed and nodded. "But just a little ways in, ok? We still have to go back to work cleaning out our room" Alec reminded us.
"All right, all right, we'll do it! Come on!" Rob was excited again, ready to solve the mystery of the freaky girl and the tunnel. Alec and I used to tease him about his reading mysteries. The only books he would read when he was 10 were The Hardy Boys and Sherlock Homes.
We all started to walk in the tunnel. It was wide enough that we could all walk side by side comfortably. As we walked, I could hear noises, like there was someone, or more than one, down the tunnel a little ways ahead of us.
I put a finger to my lips, silencing the loud footsteps we were making. There. The noise was clearer, and sounded like there was a large number of people all together, making a lot of noise. We continued in, intrigued by what was going on.
We were almost running down the hall when I began to feel something strange. It was like that pins and needles feeling you get when your foot falls asleep. I rubbed my arms and looked at Rob and Alec. They were rubbing their arms as well, so I assumed they felt it too.
Suddenly, I felt a searing pain in my head that drove me to my knees. I couldn't see anything except a picture of black eyes surrounded by fire that seemed to burn me where I stood. Or knelt in this case. Then the world went dark and I collapsed on the ground
I woke up with a throbbing headache, a half remembered nightmare, and surrounded by people I'd never seen before.
Yeh, this was turning out to be a brilliant idea.
What will happen next? the world may never know!! (I love tootsie pops)
