The Girl of the Moon - Part One - Strange Occurrences
This is the book I've been writing since I was 12. I hope with some people reading this, I'll finally finish. Comment if you want. Keep reading if you like!

All right, let's start from the beginning. My name is Tom. Not going to say my last name, someone out there might recognize it. And hurt who I know. My parents died when I was three years old, and since I had no other family (Mom and Dad had lost their parents when they were kids), I went to the orphanage. In my parents will it said not to send me to a foster home, but even now, I still don't know the difference. The two people in charge of the orphanage were Ms. Irene Hollawell and her brother, Benjamin.
They were the back bone of this place, the people who made the place tick. They were also the only ones spared from me and my brothers' pranks. Ok, I knew we weren't real brothers, but we were all born on September 6th, and all came to live at the orphanage when were three. Everyone called us the triplets of terror (hey, I didn't come up with the name), but it was a term of affection. But let me get on with the story. It started a few weeks before my eighteenth birthday...
So I was in my room with Alec and Rob, packing to move out on a Saturday afternoon. Senior year was going ok, but still I was a little sad that these were some of the last days here at the only place I had to call home. But when I was with my brothers, it was hard to be down. We were all crackin' jokes, recalling the best pranks we'd done, just tryin' to make these last days count.
At about two, we were sick of cleaning, so we all decided to go out for a walk. We went all over town, hitting out favorite spots, when I saw someone I've never seen before.
She looked like how I imagined a vampire. Not the kind in the Twilight books, but the stereotypical kind, like in the old horror movies. She didn't glitter in the sun, didn't have gold eyes, but her skin was pale and looked strange, like there were spider webs underneath it, but it wasn't spider veins. It was not like normal skin looked. Her hair was long, black and straight. She had a kinda weird atmosphere around her, it made you uncomfortable just looking at her. I could see the people on the street walk around her, not even looking at her. Weird. Naturally, I nudged Alec and Rob and showed them the mystery girl.
"Who do you think she is?" Alec said, his face a mask of confusion. "I don't recognize her".
"Who cares dude? She looks kinda hot, even though she's kinda freaky. Let's go talk to her." Rob was always more outgoing than me and Alec, and was the ladies man, always had a girl. Me and Alec were shy around girls, but at least Alec had a girlfriend. That's right, I'd never had a girlfriend. Ha-ha, laugh all you want, but none of the girls caught my eye, and I know for certain that none of them liked me. Rob and Alec would have been all over me trying to get me to ask them out. Oh well, you can't miss what you never had.
The mystery girl turned and looked at us, like she could tell we were staring and talking about her. She turned suddenly and quickly disappeared down the alley beside the post office.
Well, what do you think we did? We followed her of course. We were pretty good runners if I do say so myself, but man, that girl was quick! I was beginning to wonder why we were even chasing her when she slowed down.
Finally we caught up to her. Well, we followed her into this old abandoned building I didn't even know existed. We ran in expecting to see her tuning a corner, but when we stopped, there was no one there.
Ok, so if you're following someone, and you think you have them, then they disappear, how do you think you'd feel? If you answered confused, shocked, and/or slightly scared, you are absolutely correct!
So we were just turning in circles, looking around the room for the girl we had just lost. I still wasn't sure why we were after her, but I think it was sheer boredom. I mean, there wasn't much to do over the weekend that didn't involve money, which we didn't have of course.
I heard a noise in the corner of the room, and we all turned to see what it was. This room had us all really freaked out.
I heard the noise again, this time louder. It kinda sounded like someone was rubbing two rocks together, and it kept going. We all walked over there slowly, like something was going to jump out at us or there was going to a really scary thing making the noise.
It was coming from behind a stack of crates, and when we looked behind them, we all froze in shock. The wall next to them was shaking and making the grating noise, then slowly, I began to see the faint outline of a...a... I couldn't believe it. It looked like the outline of a door, only taller, wider. Slowly, it began to sink farther into the wall until I couldn't see it anymore. There, in front of our eyes, a tunnel had appeared.
Tell me what you think. yea, I know it's not well written, I wrote it in middle school. But hey, I'm gonna finish it now.
