The Funeral For Timmothy

The funeral of my nephew Timmothy 21 died in motorbike accident.
The sky opens up, the rain floods the earth,
Just as it should, when it's death
Not a birth.

Our hearts over flow, our tears mixed with rain,
Though one day we'll see him, things will never be the same.

A beautiful person of 21, so young to let go,
But I know he is in heaven, the bible tells me so.

The only son of my sister, with a heart of pure gold,
She was blessed the day she gave him life, with him they broke the mold.

Sudden death is what we're left with, the pain of letting go,
The ache of a loss so quickly, the how, I do not know.

Must put our trust in God, stand upon his rock,
Know there is a reason, we each have our own clock.

Someday we'll close our eyes, for the last time on earth,
Open then to eternity, our new heavenly birth.

There he will be waiting, his beautiful smile we'll see,
No tears or sadness ever again, just eternity...
